Sat 19 May – Rock On The Range
Ah yes. ROTR was amazing. It was my first ever all day concert and I totally loved it. I mainly just came to see Breaking Benjamin though.

My sister got VIP parking so we were close to the entrance. We got our wristbands, and i'm so glad we did. I was in the front row for Breaking Benjamin! Amazing is all I can say. Although everyone who crowd surfed was annoying. That almost ruined the show because of the people having to get them down stood right in front of us. But anyways it was amazing.

I really love Chevelle, but they REALLY sucked. I think a lot of people would agree with me. Papa Roach should not have been on the other stage either. Hopefully next year things will be more planned out and more room! It was so crowded and so hard to see all the bands.

All in all it was a very good show with a lot of amazing bands.

Sat 19 May – Rock On The Range

1st annual Rock On The Range was a huge success.

In order by best performances in my opinion.........(stage# appearance order) quick review

1 Papa Roach (2 #6) fantastic - extremely high energy!! Great sound - would pay to see again
2 Buckcherry (1 #2) fantastic - brought new life to their new CD live - would pay to see again
3 Hinder (1 #5) "Born To Be Wild" was a great cover to play for this - would pay to see again
4 Three Days Grace (1 #3) Good set - would pay to see again
5 Puddle Of Mudd (2 #5) Good close to the set with hits from their 1st CD
6 Breaking Benjamin (1 #1) OK, didn't play enough of their earlier stuff
7 Evanescence (1 #7) Not nearly as good as last year in Riverbend with Seether
8 Velvet Revolver (1 #6) stale - was looking for something exciting with Slash and Wieland but it didn't happen for me
9 ZZ Top (1 #8) most of the crowd left early in the set
10 Chevelle (1 #4) no one seemed to get into this performance........very boring

I'd give the organizers a 10 of 10 for setting up the bands, an 8 of 10 for timing and arranging who played where. 2 of the best overlapped in Hinder & Papa Roach and festival seating really sucked because if you left to see the second stage acts you had to find a new seat in the stadium. Overall I'd give it a 9.5 of 10
