The Garden is a new, free, monthly-ish party hosted by the Cocadisco guys that takes place in a lovely old pub on Victoria Park Road called the Britannia, which has a huge garden that backs on to the park. The pub is off the beaten track, far enough from the hordes of Hoxton, but still accessible to all.

We’re focusing on tropical electronics, Italo-disco, synth-pop and smudgy house. It’s going to be pretty special. The night runs from 9 PM to 2 AM and it’s free to get in.

The first one is this Friday, October 24, and we’re thrilled that the star attraction is none other than Swedish producer JOHAN AGEBJÖRN, who’ll be making his UK debut. He is the composer/producer of those beautiful SALLY SHAPIRO records like ‘Disco Romance’, and has just released an incredible solo album of ambient electronics, ‘Mossebo’. He is also playing the following evening in Nottingham, so it’s kind of a mini UK tour.

Please note: this will be Johan’s first DJ performance in the UK and is a must for lovers of fine pop music everywhere.

Johan has released music for Diskokaine, Permanent Vacation, Lo Recordings, Klein and Smalltown Supersound, and recently remixed Lindstrom.

Also appearing on the night are the Dissident label’s hottest new recruit, the Off Key Hat, and Cocadisco’s Piers and Rodaidh.
