Ein weiteres Jahr neigt sich nun so langsam dem Ende zu und wir können alle auf die vielen schönen Dinge zurückblicken, die das Jahr 2011 mit sich brachte. U. a. der Live-Auftritt von Avenue d'Electronique am 08.10.2011 zur E.B.M. Night in der Theater-Fabrik Leipzig. Zum Abschluss des Jahres 2011 gibt es noch ein kleines Highlight: Die Veröffentlichung des Songs "Pseaume" von Maija Rego & Avenue d'Electronique auf der orkus compilation 75.

Wir wünschen allen ein frohes und besinnliches Weihnachtsfest und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr.

Illusion of Light

I know I haven't posted updates in a bit... And I hope to get to that soon. In the meantime I just wanted to quickly let you know that we've just added 2 new albums to Last.fm.

Dean Garcia's (Curve) -- SPC ECO (Space Echo) -- with his daughter Rose Berlin and Joey Levenson -- has just released You Tell Me. (1 Nov 2011). There's definitely something really interesting about track's 5 and 9. I nearly fell over when I heard track 5, and track 9 is just lovely. You really need to hear them. ~:)

Dean is also a contributing artist on Crying Vessel's (aka Slade Sky Templeton's) debut album Necrozine. The album also features the talents of Kim Welsh and Perry Pelonero of Morpheme and bliss.city.east; and Preston Maddox of the industrial shoegaze group the Bloody Knives. ---- I've been wrecking my brain trying to pin-point a genre for this album. It's definitely electronic, but I also hear elements of synthpop, trip-hop, shoegaze and ebm. Whatever the genre... I find it highly amusing and sexy; ~and~ I find myself uncontrollably singing along to Necrozine (featuring Dean Garcia) and Loaded Gun (featuring Kim Welsh and Preston Maddox).

Both albums are being issued as limited edition CDs available to pre-order exclusively at XD Records. You Tell Me is also available as a digital download. You can sample both albums here on Last.fm (@128 kbps)
