For Guy Ritchie movies, Lock, Stock; but I preferred a third out of that genre (botched heist comedies): I Went Down. Released roughly the same time as Lock, Stock, the Irish show the Mr. Madonna how this sort of film is done.

    Travel Writers (heavy weight division):

I would choose Firefox out of those three, but I mainly use AOL Internet Explorer.

In one of the most obtuse software moves ever, AOL bought Netscape and then more or less shot themselves in the foot by inking a deal with Microsoft to use IE as their integrated browser for their internet gateway (AOL).

AOL managed to hang in there as a subscription service for a while, but as dsl & cable became more widespread--and in the face of telephony alternatives such as juno/netzero and some others that have now faded but were priced 10 to 15 dollars lower per month--AOL tried to convert to an advertising driven service. AOL-IE is MSIE, but with the AOL front end.

I can't pick just one out of the Neumann selections above, so I'll abstain.

Madlib vs. Quasimoto vs. Lootpack vs. Madvillain vs. Jaylib vs. Yesterdays New Quintet ...

  • Toughie, but I would have to go with Madlib, because of his album Shades Of Blue.

I haven't heard Madvilliany II yet, though, so there's a hole in my choice. Champion Sound by Jaylib wasn't nearly as good as I hoped it would be.

Stout. Some of the microbrewery shit like chocolate stouts, milk stouts, stouts matured in whiskey casks and ones with ridiculous alocohol percentages going on the go are quite fun to taste, and Guinness is a favourite beer of mine. I also prefer the nose and taste that the barley gives a stout. Not much porters I've tried so far have been particularly memorable (black isle and fullers were nice though)

least appetizing meal found in Scotland:
Black Pudding (sausage made from pig's blood and intestines)
    vs.
Battered Mars Bar (deep fried confectionary)
    vs.
Haggis! (chopped up sheep organs stuffed into a sheep's stomach and boiled)

Battered mars bars. They're the single biggest reason Scotland has one of the poorest public health records in the western world.
