Cage. I downloaded it from the ‘Project J’ site back in 2003, I had stumbled onto that site after googling hide pictures I think xD. If I am honest I didn’t really like Cage at first…

Definatley Bio-造形するバイオ. Every track on that EP is basically made out of solid gold!

- What is your favorite lyric that 5 has sung?

-How many times have you seen 4 live?
Once, in London, October 2007 on the Pulse Wriggling to Black tour. It was pretty fucking epic. I loved that they played Ruder and Sugar Pain!

-What is your favorite song by 7?
A tough choice. But I think I will go for the Sink Remix on the Sleeping Beauty single. Although if you look at my charts, I clearly love Den lille Havfrue the most ;D

-What is a good memory you have involving the music of 10?
The whole Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour was pretty damn hazardous. Though getting to meet the band a few times, and getting my photos with them, that was amazing.

-Is there a song of 3 that makes you sad?
Ha, not really. It's Perfume. The songs just make me wayyyyyyy too happy to be considered a normal listening response. Even Macaroni doesn’t make me feel sad because I am too busy being melted by Nocchi’s voice in the first verse *melts just thinking about it*

-What is your favorite lyric that 2 has sung?
I like the bit in [人: being] 人の城へ where they sing:

-What is your favorite song by 9?
I Own Death. Seriously, I love that track. It's a slow build up of radio static and a sampled voice talking about immortality, until it bursts into the full onslaught of the song, but the beats are so washed out the whole thing becomes distant and muffled. It's just epic like no other song can even attempt to be.

-How did you get in to 3?
Hm, I first heard them in 2005 when I downloaded the PV for Vitamin Drop on the fly. I thought it was pretty weird and only listened to it a few times haha.

Sometime later, I stumbled across the PV for Computer City and thought it was awesome! I listened to it loads and sent the mp3 to a few friends, but I didn’t take it any further still xD. Then after Dream Fighter came out (last November) I listened to them again and loved that song pretty hard, found they now had a whole discography of awesome, and I have being getting more and more obsessed with them since (it exploded a few months back though xD)

-What was the first song you heard by 1?
Yami ni Chiru Sakura. I hated it at first, and hated Shou’s voice haha. I still kept downloading their PVs afterwards though as they were easy to get a hold of back then, when Akatsuki came out the band had finally grown on me.

-What is your favorite song by 4?
I have a real love hate thing going on with these guys at the moment, but I’m still pretty gay for 'Kore de yokattan desu...' from Hankou Seimeibun EP, I think that’s their best song, and their best EP.

-How many time have you seen 9 live?
NEVER! I would actually love to though D:

-What is a good memory you have involving 6?
Seeing them live has always been great, but my best two memories would be me and my sister bumping into Die in Sheffield in 2007, and then asking him if he remembered us in Bristol 2009 (and him saying yes!) or when Toshiya handed me his bud in the encore at Oxford 2007. OH and when they played Drain Away in Sheffield, that was so damn good!

-Is there a song of 8 that makes you sad?
None. But what does make me sad is that this band is STILL IN MY FUCKING TOP TEN D: I haven’t listened to them in over a year, god dammit go away ayabieru.

-What is your favorite album of 5?
Northern Hymns, HANDS DOWN. I like all their new garage rock stuff. But Northern Hymns was the perfect mixture of stripped down bare bones rock, but songs that where interesting and dynamic rather then Yukiko just singing “OH YEH/ C’MON C’MON” 50 times (though I like those songs too 8-) )

-What is your favorite lyric that 3 has sung?
um, I like all the lyrics from Secret Secret, so maybe something from that?

Zekkeishoku – easily. The albums that came after that were a bit shit really. They both have their moments, I guess, but they’ll probably never top Zekkeishoku.

-What is a great memory you have considering 9?
None really. I’ve never met anyone in real life who is also a fan of this guy. Buying his CD for a mere £6 was sweet times though.

-What was the first song you heard by 8?
Cubic [L/R] Rock. It’s still a pretty good song, but won’t get any more listens until they drop out my top 10 :/

-What is your favorite cover by 1?
err, well they only have one cover: Byakuya ni Kuroneko. Yeh it’s pretty good. Better than the original, though GIVUSS still destroys stuff with their cool music. 8)

Short reports on my first few concerts in Japan of this summer.

July 5 stylish wave ILLUSION'08 Vol.3
First up was heidi.. They were quite nice, they played well and I like their style of music. Next was lynch., I love them and their set was really enjoyable. The band kept on encouraging their fans to cheer and clap, their interaction with the audience was really good and it made the show a lot of fun to watch too. After them, it was Mix Speaker's, Inc.'s turn. They changed their style, no more monster costumes. They now had 2 dances. They played well and their performance is funny to see. Then Sex Machineguns, I liked them quite a bit more than expected. On CD it's not my style of music, but live they were funny and quite good. Last was Kagrra,, and although Isshi's singing was a little off at the start, it got better later on. They played well and now I'm curious about their show in the Netherlands.

July 7 MONORAL @ Shibuya O-EAST
They were really good! Very enjoyable, very charismatic. Also very different from the bands I usually see, somehow. There was also a special surprise guest... Ken from L'Arc~en~Ciel played along for one song!

July 8 Super Junior @ Budokan
My first boyband concert ever. It was very enjoyable! KiBum unfortunately wasn't there, so it was only 12 of them. They did 4 songs as Super Junior, not live unfortunately... Also one song from Super Junior T and K.R.Y. each, which were live and realllyyy nice! The rest of the event consisted of Q&A's and little games, things like that. It was lots of fun!

July 11 CROSS GATE 2008～The Colored World～
This was an event with 6 bands and it was really fun! I liked every band playing there. First was inugami circus-dan, I really love them and when they were announced to the line-up I actually decided to get a ticket to this event. Unfortunately there weren't a lot of fans of them there, but even so, good performance! Next was Moran, also quite enjoyable. Then Galneryus, their music is very nice but they tried to be all "grrr metal!" which was adorable and didn't really work, haha. Next was Chariots, I liked them a lot! Already liked them on cd and was happy to see them live. Then the studs, really good. Nice headbanging music. Last was Versailles, their performance was okay but nowhere near last year's performance, but alas, this was an event and last year's was a one-man so I forgive them.

July 12 stylish wave ’08 MAX
This event was nice, small hall (Takadanobaba AREA), a bit 'cosy'. The bands aren't really my thing, I lost interest in the whole visual kei thing a long time ago... Even so. I enjoyed Sugar, シリアル⇔NUMBER and ビリー.

July 14 D'ERLANGER @ Zepp Tokyo
I don't have words for this! It was really amazing! Zepp is a perfect venue for a concert like this. The sound at first was a little bad, you couldn't hear Kyo too well, but I suppose they changed it as during the next song it was perfect. Kyo's voice is really good! Unfortunately Cipher and Seela (especially Seela) stayed a bit more in the background... They did 2 encores, during the last encore they played La Vie en Rose and we got some actual fanservice. Also this band was the most generous I've even seen, they threw at least 20-30 items into the audience. Overal, this concert was really amazing. As I'm writing this, I'm really excited for the second concert tonight! I absolutely don't regret getting tickets for both nights!
