warpmystic: I think visual kei and jrock are stupid tags. It's just rock music and visual kei is a dressing style. And yeah, it's true some Japanese bands sound the same. Has many reasons like using a musical formula that works (public likes it) and of course being influenced by other good bands in the past. And many visual kei bands do indeed sound alike. But the same goes for many rap artists in America, death metal bands in the Scandinavian countries etc etc. But like in every genre and region there are clearly noticable differences and unique bands among them. I mean, take Kagrra, alice nine., LUNA SEA and MUCC and compare them. Totally different music styles. So I think the "jrock" tag is completely useless and way too widely used. The other tags.. well, people tag them what they think it sounds like. Hard rock is for MUCC the best tag.. in my opinion.

one thing i don't understand about this jrock and visualkai and whatever... are they all simply doing the same kind of music, none of them more like death metal or progressive rock or gothic or whatever? just how to tell differences between japanese bands if you tag them jrock and japanese? and when i check how other people tag them, i even see stuff like "stoner", "metalcore", "hiphop", "ska" and "classic rock" all together... lame.

"They were fucking awesome at Metaltown!!" [2] They were worth all the annoying screaming fangirls next to me, who nearly gave me tinnitus. I was supposed to only see half of the show because their concert ended at the same time Diru started playing, but I just didn't want to leave, and as a reward I got to hear "LIBRA" my all-time favourite from so-so "Shion". *____* I almost peed my pants. It was like when they played "daikirai" back in 2007 or something, I was so surprised I died a little. x'D They also played some of my favourites from "Kyutai", so I'm extremely pleased ;D Plus, it was during this concert I got some of my worst bruises. I love that xD Fucking mixture between crazy fangirls and angry, raw muscleheads. Can't wait to see them again!
