I usually don't like Sakimoto's music, but when he mixes more electronic/techno elements into the music, I can digest it. My favourites by him are probably Breath of Fire 5 and Gradius 5.

the Final Fantasy XII music is great. I can understand why people don't like it but I also understand why it is good. Especially because it fits Final Fantasy XII perfectly. I'm not sure if Nobuo style, while being amazing, would suit FFXII so much

Valkyria Chronicles is definitely shaping up to be one of his best soundtracks ever. I'm definitely a big fan of this man.

I think Vagrant Story it's best, an awesome masterpiece and one of the best game ost ever. But Legaia Duel Saga in second, cause, yes, he's not alone on this game, but his work is diffferent from his other masterpiece like FFT, Radiant or FFXII (yeah, FFXII, I LOVE IT).

Radiant Silvergun happens to be one of my favorite OST from this guy, second to Vagrant Story. And on third i have to say Valkyria Chronicles is rock solid.

matsuno, yoshida, sakimoto/iwata, and yoshitaka amano are key to incredible art direction music and story telling. i blame ffxii's short commings on matsuno's premature departure from the project. notice the music and art direction stayed incredible. only the story suffered.

And it's rather sad. The Vagrant Story OST is up there with Shadow of the Colossus for me, measured in awesome. But his other scores are hard to find.

I wish they'd give Opoona a proper OST release. :/ Been listening to the game rip recently and it's really shaping up to be my favorite Sakimoto/Basiscape soundtrack since Vagrant Story. Very unique, very good. :)
