The best work of Gerald. I appreciate his acid house\techno works, but this album is different. Oh, yes, some acid influences can be heared here, but that soulful-jazzy-dub-rhymes are unique. Voodoo Ray was just classic theme, and i think it was a starting point.... of something more... something like Essence album.

What do you mean with right style? Music evolves and so do artists. In my opinion once there's not so many sounds like this, tracs gain more value, yeah? I also find Glow a fantastic cosmic trip, though;)

Maybew this was the last futuristic drum 'n bass album made, the last which used fractured rhythms, fascination with space and very far voices. It's irregular as such, but tracks like Glow or The First Breath are a genuine cosmic trip. Pity that, after this, no one got the style right. Even Gerald himself.
