Agreed. I'm currently getting a little bit addicted to Alexander Tucker. Saw him last year in Cardiff along with Fuck Buttons and he totally blew me away. It's taken a few months but his recorded material is now having a similar effect.

I thought he was brilliant. Why did you think he was self-indulgent? He seemed to be doing what came to him naturally - he was completely possessed by the music. You might think that's pretentious but so many artists seem like robots on stage, which is even worse.
