hard to day where to start with Amorphis. My first one was the Tales - and I feel the same everytime I listen to it. Elegy has a good opener, but some tracks are a bit weird. Still, I love it!. Tuonela and Far From The Sun are rather "calm". Tuonela was rather "experimental" when it came out and it takes some time to get into it. Far From The Sun is rather "average", but has some great moments, so does AM Universum. All "earlier" albums sound "thin" compared to how we produce music nowadays, but they were awesome when they came out and still are! The last three are absolute highlights and none of them has any flaws - 200% recommendable and well produced. The early death metal albums are good, but only parts of the Amorphis as we know them can be found in them. Still, great guitars!!! Give them a try and find out for yourself. All albums are worth the time you invest in them, they take you away and change you. Amorphis are the best!!!

Amorphis is really great band. I can't say any bad word about them. They succeed to have great death/doom songs, but their new style is very good though. Either Privilege of Evil and Eclipse/Skyforger are masterpieces. HAIL AMORPHIS! \m/

Well if you are into Death metal, then The Karelian Isthmus and Tales From the Thousand Lakes and maybe Elegy too. If you like Progressive music; then Elegy, Tuonela, Am Universum and Far From the Sun are yours. But I suggest to start from Eclipse, Silent Waters and Skyforger albums. I haven't heard Karelian Isthmus, Tuonela, Am Universum or Far From the Sun albums so no comments from them. But Tales, Elegy and new stuf is very good.

I fell in love with Amorphis after listening to SIlent Waters, after that I moved on to Eclipse, then Elegy and then Skyforger, just a couple of days ago I bought Story. The 10th Anniversary, album, and the songs on it were awesome. I recommend this band to eny metalhead out there

I discovered this band with "Silent Waters". It's great even is not so metal. Then I listened to "Eclipse", brillant and so powerful. And now, "Skyforger" came... simply AWESOME ! Ican't live a day without those songs. I totally fall in love with Amorphis <3

Been into this band since Thousand Lakes came out and spent from the later half of the 90s obsessed with this band. Then, I got really bored with them. A few good songs here and there, but nothing that I was that hooked on. Suddenly, Skyforger has completely rekindled my love for this band. GREAT ALBUM! (from beginning to end)
