The pro-Matos singer falls into the 'Hello, I sing power metal' category in my opinion. He's pretty basic, not very personal voice if you've heard many other power metal bands. However, they've almost even gotten better still. They have some very solid power metal stuff (Spread Your Fire) and that lovable Hansi-duel on Winds of Destination that basically make Temple of Shadows my favorite Angra album even though it's missing Matos. :D

Temple of Shadows is my favorite album. Excellent concept, perfect use of guest musicians (not to mention the quality of the guest musicians!), and near-perfect execution by a skilled band.

Os atuais donos do Angra não têm interesse em organizar de forma clara e correta os dois primeiros álbuns da banda aqui nesta página. Isso tiraria um pouco da atenção aos álbuns mais recentes, que são os principais. Por isso quem organizou essa página, criou um álbum em conjunto para estes dois álbuns, apenas para não ficarem sem representação, mas que por estarem juntos, recebem quase nenhum número de audição.

WOOOOOOOOO! They are jamming again. Tuesday, October 28, 2008 Angra plays together after over 1 year .. Last Saturday, Rafael's "Bittencourt Project", with Felipe Andreoli on bass, played an acoustic poket show in a book store in São Paulo for the promotion of their new record, Brainworms I. In the audience were Kiko Loureiro and Edu Falaschi, which at a certain point were called on stage to play the song Rebirth. It was the first time Angra played together after the pause in 2007, and it is surely a hint that the band may be coming back anytime soon. Lets hope for it! Taken from Myspace. FUCKEN AWESOME NEWS

Somebody should add Angels Cry as a proper album. Which is classic prog/power metal IMO. What Fates Warning were for the '80s, Angra and Symphony X are for the '90s: leading prog/power metal bands with a fabulous sense of melody. And with some of the most accomplished singers ever!
