The Spooky Fest

Tivoli de Helling, Utrecht

En zo gingen wij dus naar Tivoli de Helling. Ik had afgesproken met Darcy bij het station. Haar moeder zou ons brengen bij Tivoli de Helling, maar dat ging uiteindelijk niet door. Er was een marathon in Utrecht, waarbij wegen afgesloten waren. Hierdoor raakten andere wegen juist weer vol, waardoor we op een gegeven moment heel lang moesten wachten. We zijn uit de auto gestapt en renden naar de stadsbussen en namen bus 8.



Eenmaal daar aangekomen zagen we heel wat leuke types. "Inspiratiedag" noemde ik het al. De haar- en kledingdrachten waren zeer leuk om te zien. Ik vraag het me soms wel af hoe zij dat voor elkaar krijgen. Darcy liet haar ogen vallen op mooie plateauzolen.

We stonden eigenlijk ergens aan het einde van de rij, tenminste we dachtten dat het een rij was. Darcy vroeg zich af waarom we stonden en uiteindelijk zijn we naar de ingang gelopen. Daar stonden we een 15 minuten te wachten totdat de deuren opengingen. We kregen een stempel op het kaartje en konden naar binnen. Eenmaal binnen, vroegen we ons af of we nou de dvd (gratis dvd van Calmando Qual) kregen of niet. Darcy nog even navragen aan die vrouw die ons de stempel hadden gegeven. Zij blij terug, we hebben de dvd!! (die stempel was dus het bewijs dat we de dvd krijgen). We brachtten onze jassen en tassen bij de garderobe en gingen daarna kijken naar de Bring and Buy. Ik heb daar Killer Fiction van Calmando Qual gekocht!!

Tas even opgehaald om die spullen erin te doen en dan staan voor de deur van de zaal. Eenmaal toen de deur openging, werden we geduwd door anderen en ik duwde de mensen voor mij, waardoor we opeens als een gek konden rennen naar het podium. Uiteindelijk stonden we zeer vooraan, bij de microfoon van zanger Jack Spooky. De muziek van de DJ (die in plaats van Selia was) was zeer sfeervol, van hide tot aan D'espairsray tot aan Maximum the Hormone. Ondertussen zag ik overal mensen foto's maken van elkaar en hun vrienden. Dat heb ik ook gedaan met Darcy.




Op een gegeven moment kwamen een aantal dames ons lootjes uitdelen, de lootjes waarmee we iets leuks konden winnen. Na lang wachten kwam Leyla (van MFashion) en een Duitse man (zal wel te maken hebben met het organiseren/promoten. The Candy Spooky Theater is dus zoverre ik weet bij een Duitse platenmaatschappij ingeschreven) die dus allemaal cadeautjes gingen uitdelen. Tenminste als jij het goeie lootje hebt. Veel cd's (Calmando Qual, Baal), rare items (spulletjes van DJ Sisen), stickers (Dio) en dergelijke werden uitgedeeld. En toen kwam de man met het item: 'Eetstokjes, gesigneerd door Aural Vampire' ... Hij maakte opmerkingen als dat het voor de mannen onder ons wel interessant is, gezien het in de mond is geweest van EXO-CHIKA, de zangeres van Aural Vampire. De stokjes stonden in een houder. 763 werd opgenoemd.. Ik schrok me rot... DAT IS MIJN LOOTJE!! Die man zeggen "Jij bent geen man".. "Nee, maar dat vind ik niet erg" XD

Goed en toen moest ik het hele concert lang met die stokjes en houder gaan dansen en dergelijke. Ik had namelijk geen tijd meer om de spullen in mijn tas te doen, want die plek waar ik stond (haast vooraan) zou ingenomen worden >_< Dus ene hand stokjes, andere hand camera. Je mocht wel foto's maken, maar dan ZONDER flits. Dus dan maar filmen. Die filmpjes houden jullie nog van me tegoed.. maar ik zal wel wat bewogen foto's laten zien XD We mochtten trouwens ook de artiesten niet aanraken.




En toen kwamen ze: Peggy, Kiddy Skeleton en Jack. OMG OMG, wat ziet Jack er freaky uit in het echt! Liedjes van Trick or Treat tot aan Merry Go Round kwamen voorbij. Het was enorm tof. En toen raakte Jack dus een meisje aan. Eerst elkaars handen, en toen aaide hij haar hoofd. (Ik heb haar achteraf nog gesproken, ze was helemaal door het dollen en heeft bij het signeren nog gevraagd of hij haar nogmaals wilde aaien XD Dat deed hij trouwens) Wij helemaal geschokt, dus zij mogen ons wel aanraken!! Kiddy kan trouwens geweldig gitaar spelen, hij had een aantal geweldige solo's! Jack liet ons ook graag zingen, hij: 'Sing a song' wij: 'Shalallalala'. Toen was het 45 minuten verder en gingen ze weg...




Peggy kwam later terug met een dildo en ging de bassgitaar bespelen met dat ding. Later kwam de rest ook terug. Ze speelden nog 2 liedjes die ze al eerder gespeeld hadden, maar lekker boeiend! Want wij met onze handen in de lucht en uiteindelijk wilde Jack onze handen eventjes vasthouden, of hoe je dat ook wilt vertalen. En toen was het echt klaar. Peggy kwam later nog terug om een t-shirt het publiek in te gooien. Dat 'getouwtrek' duurde wel langer dan 5 minuten. Ik heb daar nog een foto van gemaakt en alle meiden aangemoedigt! Wie hem nu heeft en of hij nog heel is, dat weet ik niet. Maar het duurde enorm lang!


"KOM OP!!! TREKKEN!!" (wie herkent zichzelf hierin?)

Toen kwam Leyla en de Duitser terug om nog wat grote onderdelen uit te delen en te veilen. De veiling ging wat mis, maar het was verder wel enorm spannend. Heel dichtbij, maar toch net niet die cijfers die op het lootje stond van Darcy. Zij ging helaas met lege handen naar huis... van de loterij dan.. want we hebben de dvd meteen daarna gehaald. En hebben nog wat andere spulletjes van The Candy Spooky Theater gehaald. En toen kwamen de artiesten aan, om te signeren.




Iedereen dringen in de rij, wat uiteindelijk geen rij meer was. Ik heb mijn boekje vol laten kalken door ze. En ze allemaal een hand gegeven! En dat vond ik al gaaf, maar dat Darcy achteraf nog om een knuffel vroeg aan Kiddy vond ik helemaal gaaf :D

We zijn daarna naar huis gegaan.
