Not listened to this in a bout a year. Since I saw her live, a few days over a year ago. It's a big milestone for me, it marks me proper love of music, got me into music forums, blogs, downloads etc, and other artists I love through Bjork's stylistic connections. Not her best, but a powerful an pounding album.

The only thing Declare Independence and Pluto have in common is that they are noisy. Aside of that, they are way different, both in lyrics and structure.

This is underrated in comparison to her other albums. I love Volta's eclectic, disjointed feel. It's so unbridled and takes more freethinking liberty than her past releases, even for her. In fact, this one and 2004's Medúlla are probably my favorites. But not everyone has been as warm about her experimentalism that marks her recent output.
