Brainticket originally formed in 1968, consisting of members from Swiss, German, and Italian descent. Although members came and went during their tenure together, their most popular lineup consisted of Joel Vandroogenbroeck (organ, flute), Ron Bryer (guitar), Werni Frohlich (bass), Cosimo Lampis (drums), Wolfgang Paap (tabla), Dawn Muir (vocals), Carole Muriel (vocals, zither) and Hellmuth Kolbe (potentiometers, generators, and sound effects).
Brainticket issued three albums before disbanding, but resurfaced in the early ’80s with a pair of albums, but soon disappeared once more. In June 2000, another album titled «Alchemic Universe» came out of the collective.

My mum had (or rather still has) "Cottonwoodhill" on LP, and the cover always scared me as a kid. Later, when I started to learn English at school, I finally could read and understand the text imprint on it. "Warning! If you listen to this more than once a day your brain might be destroyed!" Then it scared me even more. Not that I entirely believed it with, of course. By then I was twelve and almost reasonable... but... you know... what if?! D:

yeye brainticket part 1 is amazing. I was walking on the street today while my ipod shuffled in cottonhill. After first two tracks I though, "wow, what a nice album, guitars and everything", but then brainticket pt. 1 kicked in, and this chick started moaning, and I cracked this weird smile grim, so everyone was giving me strange looks while passing by me...
