I wasn't actually implying the sexual meaning behind "gay", more just the softness implied. Some vocal parts sound very feminine, and that just ruins the music for me. But apart from that minor default (I don't really care for vocals anyway) the music is a fantastic version of pop. I hope I made it clear enough for optimistic_tour.

I'm not too keen on the vocals either I'm afraid. All songs have the same floaty sound from the singer and that does also spoil it for me. I think the only difference between potatomaster's and my review is the difference in description. I say floaty he says gay (basically). But I think we both have the same problem with the music without actual sexuality or prejudice needed to be involved!!

The music is good, but (excuse me for this) the singer sounds quite un-heterosexual. That's the impression I get from "Pearl", at least. It ruins the music for me as much as the extremely high vocals of old Sigur Ros.
