Hmm, I disagree with you Slashownz. I saw Cheap Trick earlier this summer with Heart and Journey and thought they rocked it. Lots of energy despite being the opener (total BS) with people walking in the entire time. I thought Zander sang very well especially considering how long he's been doing it and Nielsen was still funny and entertaining. Maybe an off-night, who knows.

I saw them a few days ago at Jones Beach, they had to play a shortened set due to delays from some pretty horrible weather ( at one point it was hailing, how does it hail in the middle of August?) but it was still pretty awesome, especially when they did dream police as an encore.

You MUST see them in concert. Absolutely great. Was lucky enough to see them do the "Heaven Tonight" album (which is my favorite of theirs) start to finish at one of their House of Blues shows a few years ago (it was advertised as such). They then played a greatest hits selection for the encore. Did some Beatles tunes too. Original lineup. Kickass band. See them before they don't tour anymore!!!!

Saw them at Budokan last week. It was not repeat of the original Budokan setlist as advertised, but I don't mind - it was another great show. I felt that I want you to want me was the most budokan song to me. Everyone was screaming during that song just like that.

They are awesome, I live in Rockford and both Rick and Bun E live here and are quite committed to helping their community. I see Rick at the grocery store all the time, they are cool! Rockford made April Fool's Day, Cheap Trick Day and they had it officially done through the state of Illinois.
