The journals can be by-passed pretty easily, but the silly games are ruining many otherwise well intentioned groups. Its just a brainless, time wasting idiosyncrasy, that really gets on my nerves! Hope you agree. If you don't, the fuck you!

Anyway - Death Magnetic
It is surprisingly good. I'm not the biggest Metallica fan, but this album is worth a few spins. It is easily the best album under the Metallica name since the self titled Black Album 17 years ago. My favourite songs (so far) would be This Was Just Your Life, The End of the Line and The Judas Kiss. I guess it's just nice to see the guys make a decent album again. I have seen a lot of people that hate the hype surrounding Death Magnetic, but it can't come as a surprise, after all the success Metallica have enjoyed.

As above - forum games can go fuck themselves for all I care...

And recently, I have began to enjoy Pink Floyd, a band I have previously dismissed as 'hippy rubbish'. I was mistaken. I mean, these guys were genius. From the epic Dark Side of the Moon to the wacky Bike, everything is great.
I typically started with DSoTM, and then moved on to Animals, The Division Bell, Pulse and my possible favourite - Shine On You Crazy Diamond. I can tell that this is a band that will prove rewarding after many listens.

On a sadder note, another band member is now dead.

Strangely, I listen to a good few bands with dead members - Death, Nasum, Pantera, Metallica, Pink Floyd... Is there a connection between my charts and...death???????? No, probably not.

Crazy times for me at the minute, and I have lots of new music. I've went a little album seeking crazy... Do I need to spend on the entire Motörhead discography - NO! But I did, for the most part. I might have downloaded a little...

My new music includes:

Airbourne (I wanted to know if the hype was justified - they're pretty tight actually)

On the subject, I've bought (and 'obtained' shall we say) so much new music, that I barely know where to start with each band. I've quickly noted that Blood Fire Death is Bathory's best, but what about Anathema? I like Alternative 4, but what about their older albums? Their best songs?

Solefald? Which album is their definitive article?

I really want more Opeth and some more Dark Tranquillity. I only own 'Still Life' and 'Fiction' respectively.
