i don't think it's ''underrated'' it's just that it was right after ''ziggy stardust & the spiders of mars'' ''Aladinn sane'' it was different then the other albums, darker. I think the fans of Bowie, included me learn too respect this album as one of his best

Well it does feel a bit like 2 different albums forced into 1, which is offputting for me. But at least one half is excellent. I usually just skip to Sweet Thing when listening to it, and I can manage to tie Rebel Rebel into the theme.. somewhat. But then I also have to skip 1984 because it's fucking disco camp in between near gothic songs.
