I always see comments about Damon being an asshole, but the one and only time I met him, he was definitely drunk as hell but seemed genuinely happy that I came up to talk to him after the show. I just made some general chat about how spectacular the show was and how glad I was to finally make it to a Don Cab gig. After that he signed my For Respect album cover as "Delmer" with a little goofy note and I got a signed stick too. I think he is mostly misunderstood and/or distancing himself if anything.

I don't know if this is a widely-circulated thing or not, but here's a pretty decent bootleg from 1999. The rhythms come together in different enough ways to make it worth a listen. Three songs from What Burns and the rest are early versions of songs from American Don. I don't think he has to suffer Music is about musicality, not personality. Just think what this guy could have done if he would allow himself a b3etter way, and you can see, he would be a world class drumming legend instead of a side show. I hope his suffering diminishes while he still has life and aptitude.

Saw the "new Don" twice, and they were great. Sure Damon drinks a lot on stage, but his playing was still amazing. Maybe I was lucky, who knows?

I like Punkgasm but Damon seems to have toned down a little bit. I don't know personally but I've heard he's a complete asshole too. A friend of mine saw them a few years back and said he drank what looked like a half gallon of vodka. He played so sloppy drunk that the crowd started to heckle which made him so mad he couldn't stop yelling and swearing back. Real class act!

I like some of Don Cab's music, but I saw them live recently and Damon Che came across as a real dick hole. At first, I thought it was his shtick, but it turns out he's a world class asshole, in my humble opinion. I will not pay money to see them again. Nor can I bring myself to buy anymore of their albums. His interpretation of "entertainment" sucked the life out of me and many others, at that particular show. Perhaps some of you have had better experiences?

The title track of Punkgasm is boring, but overall the album is real good. It's different, but come on, if they had done a Whatever Burns... part 2, everybody would have said they're finished. The two other songs with vocals work well, and the guitar playing has a less repetitive quality I enjoy quite a lot.
