1. 2 Bullet

A Japanese EBM/industrial metal group. This group is one of my favourite bands right now. First off, they're interesting for mixing guitars and synth with about equal emphasis. Second off, they're an EBM act with practically no techno influences, and undistorted vocals, which makes them completely different from basically every other EBM band except Das Ich. They're also very theatrical. The theme seems to be "revolution", and they start shirtless-wrestling with each other at a lot of stage shows. They're really talented and I think pretty much anyone who likes EBM or industrial metal will like them.

2. Vanished Empire

This band is a side project of Dee Lee from 2 Bullet(Collaborating with Dj Chihiro), and is probably the least known of any band on this list with only 16 listeners on last.fm. It's similar to 2 Bullet, but darker, and without guitars.

3. Acretongue

What genre is this band? Ethereal, atmospheric, avant-gardeish electronic music. People usually call it EBM, and it makes appearances on compilation such as Endzeit Bunker(an industrial compilation), but it's really not. It is, however, extremely awesome.
I'm actually quite excited about this band, since it's excellent and apparently their first album is nearing completion. As it is they've only put out limited edition demos and made a few compilation appearances.

4. Killer Bug

Some of the harshest noise out there. Killer Bug was an alias Kazumoto Endo used to use for his pedal-based noise music. I don't like to use a cliched phrase, but it's definitely not for the faint of heart.

5. Control Alt Deus

Extremely trancey EBM from Portugal. It's pretty awful generic, but it does generic-ness better than a lot of big name aggrotech bands.
