Fates Warning’i tam anlamıyla tanımlayabilmek için, bugün «progressive» diye tanımlanan türün evrimini incelemek gerekir. Bunun için, bu türün temel taşı sayılan gruplardan örnek-kıyaslama durumu söz konusu olduğunda, Fates Warning ile en çok paralel özellik sergileyen gruplar olarak Queensryche ve Dream Theater gösterilebilir. Genellikle bu grupların fanatikleri arasındaki en genel kanılardan birisi, bu grupların ve ürettiklerinin birbirlerine çok benzemesi üzerinedir.

I absolutely agree with the dissapointment of seeing Fates songs being so underrated...It's a shame having in mind that these quys are making their music with so much inteligence,depth,beauty,emotions and thoughts,that i am just inspired by them.Some say that they are very close to Maiden,in some ways copying from them,others just keep seeing them as "the worse progressive band in comparison with Dream theatre.".I think that Fates Warning are amazing,they are changing my everydaylife,it nearly seems like i feel their music that much,that if i was a musician i would probably sing in the same way and about the same things..I LOVE YOU,FATES!!!

For God's sake,the scrobble numbers are extremely low.I'm so surprised.They are not so known like Dream Theater of Q2K are but this is a pity.FW is still one of the most original prog bands around.And when the hell they will release the new album,it has been four years...

That's because that Rush cover is the only streamable track. Most people get to know Fates only by that cover. The full-length albums are not very well-known. Not even on last.fm. I agree, there should be FW albums in the last.fm radio. Maybe all of them, this band really deserves it
