If you don't like heavy/power prog, you should avoid the first four and start with Parallels/Inside Out or A Pleasant Shade of Grey/Disconnected depending on whether you like to dip your foot in the pool first or jump straight into the deep end.

Which albums should I get? Can somebody give me a quick rundown of these guys' albums (or a link to good reviews of each album)? Thanks in advance :). By the way I'm not really a fan of the heavy/power prog style.

The Arch/Matheos snippet wasn't that bad. The music is pretty much typical heavy-prog/power in the vein of the last two Symphony X albums, a bit generic but with the vocals I think it worked fine. I seriously doubt the album as a whole will be like it considering how Fates Warning & Co. typically drift towards the softer and more melodic.
