The lack of hype in this shoutbox disturbs me. And here is another new song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChFbgZNgCh0

Can someone tell me what the male voice says at the very end of Disconnected Part 2?

v I doubt Arch era fans were born 30 years after the 80's, because, uh you know, that would mean they're either fetuses or still sperm...

For me it's great news that Ray doesn't wanna sing pre-Inside Out stuff. And Jim only wants to play post-Perfect Symmetry stuff anway.

What does the male voice say at the end of "Disconnected Part 2"? To me it sounds like "Traffic lord disconnected." LOL!

And to prove what I say, check: http://www.setlist.fm/stats/fates-warning-bd69146.html (All FW song statistics from every Live Gig they had since 1984. In total: 162 gigs and 87 different songs. They don't even seem to have a Arch-related track in their Top-30 live songs. "Damnation" from Night on Broken is only on place 31, with 14 performances. It's pretty obvious that the band in the last 20 years, doesn't even care about the Arch-era, the last Arch-related live song was played in Wacken '93, with the exception of 'Prelude to Ruin, played a couple of time in gigs until '98.

Great news 1: The thumbing up of Alder pics, really worked. Thanks Alderheads!! Having Arch pics as main, was so ridiculous as having Iron Maiden main pics with Paul Di Anno. The fiction Power metal game is over, since the mid-80s, only the band name is the same. Even Matheos, the only pre-1988 FW member, has changed a lot. Not to mention they never really play anything Live from the Arch era, since they have done many more great songs since then. Great news 2: A new FW album is almost ready, after 9 years.

Actually, as long as there are no pictures with Arch whipping his dick out, no rules are being broken. If someone prefers the Arch era, he/she should be free to vote for those images.

I'm not underestimating Arch's impact on FW's music, or his legacy, but the guys are with Alder now. They have been for 25 years, they evolved with him and toured with him. Alder is a major reason Fates Warning are what they are now. They are putting out a new album in 2013 (they said so on their shows from the last tour) so when they take some fresh new pictures I say let them be the main ones.

@super_ruben09 The standard rule is that if a band is now more prolific, experienced and longevous (e.g. with Alder) than what it was 25+ years ago, then a current pic should be preferably put to main. My strategy: I vote down all Arch pics and vote thumbs up, at every pic with Alder. That should work at some point, I guess.

"The default pic should display the current band, not some nostalgia." - Really? Should it? Would you mind linking me to where you found that rule?

http://i.imgur.com/Muf1B.jpg I would really almost pay money to find a good quality version of the original cover of Night on Bröcken. It's so awesome.

I prefer most of the albums you mentioned as well (not No Exit however), but it's still a really good album for what it is: a high-gloss rock/metal album with a fair bit of musical showmanship particularly on Zonder's part). Some of the songs would be better off without typical repeat-and-fade outros, and it's definitely not one of their most progressive, but it's still very enjoyable.

What is so good about Parallels? I'd take The Spectre Within, Awaken The Guardian, No Exit, Perfect Symmetry and A Pleasant Shade Of Gray over it anyday.
