There's a Chess Howling Wolf Collection that is nice, "The London Howlin' Wolf Sessions" is also a good record. Wolf's got some of the classical rock periods best british artists playing on that record.

There will never be another bluessinger like Howlin' Wolf! He's the best singer I've ever heard, totally unique and unequalled singer. We can only be grateful that a man such as him devoted his whole life to singing and playing the blues and taking it to a whole new standard.

When famed Sun Studios owner (disoverer of Elvis & so many other major stars of '50s rock blues & country) Sam Phillips first heard Wolf sing there ,he said, "This is IT. This is for me. Now I know where it is that the 'Soul of man goes and never dies.' " His greatest regret was letting Wolf go to Chess Records (Wolf's estate later successfully sued Chess Records, the prime Chicago blues record company portrayed - sort of - in the recent film 'Cadillac Records.') For the REAL story of Howlin' Wolf, my great friend and music teacher, be sure to check out my site www.howlingwolfphotos.com to enjoy seeing THE iconic pics of Wolf - in concert, at home plus RARE sensitive portraits, his bizcards and a very moving story of our relationship. with links to his best-selling Pantheon biography site and also the great DVD about his llfe. Be sure to check out his version of "Hidden Charms" and "Coon on the Moon" I have two fresh never-heard songs he and I made in 1968 I hope to release by 2010

great blues. you might want to check out [artist]B.C. Williamson[/artist], who is a fictional blues artist with an endlessly complicated backstory, spanning over 60 years. and now he has a 22-track compilation album coming out. "The Greatest Blues Singer Who Never Lived."
