I wonder, putting myself out on a limb here but what i would love more than anything else in this whole world, more than women, money or power, is a joke about how interpol might sound a bit like joy division. after hearing their 'best album' turn on the bright lights, great listen, from start to finish I feel 'Placebo' is far closer to Bauhaus than Interpol will ever be. neither bands are anywhere near. here there are strong joy division and the chameleons vibes and some the smiths but that really is it. finito. i love it, great band.
