I also agree with Necrovictus. This doesn't go for just Iron & Wine's music, this goes for every artist: Who cares how others got into the music, who else listens to the music, or what others think of the music?! What matters most is how it makes the listener feel. I&W makes some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. Nothing is going to stop me from appreciating his artistry.

Im really dissapointed with people here. Iron & Wine is one of my favourite bands, and has been for years, but I don't see why people have to argue and yell about it to everyone. I listen to Iron & Wine to relax and just melt into nature. So with these people not understanding the point of this music and instead arguing over it really makes me pissed. Comon, so what if the Twilight fangirls are obsessed with it? They won't be in a couple of months. Just let the real fans be real fans and let the pretenders pretend some more. We all know who we are.

So, when did Iron & Wine get so popular? I mean, he wasn't super secretive and underground, but now people that listen to stuff like Soulja Boy know of him. But it is cool that they're finally listening to some good music.
