I DISAGREE.
they messed everything up on this list. the picked the wrong artists, the wrong songs, the wrong reasons that a song is good--everything. it was horrible.
i don’t think Four Winds is the best song on Cassadaga. i don’t know which one is because i have about 10 favorites on that album and i think four winds is so popular because of its controversial lyrics, bandwagon lol.
i think Boyz is only on this list because the lyrics are “edgy” too. i think Bamboo Banga, BirdFlu,
Paper Planes, and Come Around are better.
Stronger. come on, guys, it’s not THAT good.
i like I Get Money a lot. i’m glad it’s on the list and i’m glad it’s so high up.
i’m ambivalent about Icky Thump. i like it but the first time i heard it i thought “i’m so sick of this song” because it has such an “overplay me lol” feel. there isn’t really anything good about it except the vocals. i gave up on that album, i just couldn’t do it.
so, at first i didn’t like 1234. i thought the lyrics were stupid. i like it now but i still like So Sorry, I Feel It All, The Limit to Your Love, Brandy Alexander, Honey Honey, and How My Heart Behaves better. + the music video is stupid.
okay, HELLO.
No One is so much better than
Teenage Love Affair. there’s no way anyone could mistakenly think otherwise and that’s how i know for sure this list is punk’d-ing me.
i don’t know why people like
What Goes Around.../...Comes Around Interlude so much. or
SexyBack, for that matter.
Chop Me Up is clearly the best song on FutureSex/LoveSounds.
um, Silver Lining doesn’t do anything for me. Under The Blacklight doesn't do anything for me. was a bad idea. i do like Breakin’ Up a little, though.
Girlfriend. wtf. this song sucks. and i think a song should be disqualified if it’s a bastardization of someone else’s song. called I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend. that may have ripped off the rolling stones.
i like This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race and Us Placers all right and don’t have anything to say about them.
moving right along to stronger emotions, HELL YEAH!
Lip Gloss is a kickass song. it be poppin’, it be cool. i don’t know if it’s good, technically, but i do know that i EATITRIGHTUP.
so, i was very surprised to see Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa on this list. i heard it on KCRW’s today's top tune and like it a lot but i didn’t know pop culture was paying any attention to it.
our neighbor played Big Girls Don’t Cry so many times and so loud last summer. i never liked that song and not being able to escape it didn’t make me like it more.
all in all, rolling stone's list sucked.
