I did indeed skip the second part after the first one or two times i listened the song, I don't care if I don't understand King Crimson, I don't think anybody of you truly do, only thing I care about is their music. This song is beautiful work of art and I love it.

yeah, fuck you. 1st part, Dream, is, however you look at it, just a ballad, and you can find many songs similliar to it, while 2nd part,The Illusion, is just incredible and unique experience. Pure avant-garde, I'd say ;)

9 minutes of ambience. Looks bad on paper. But it does have a dream like quality to it, and it also builds - subtly - to a climax. Wonderful chord expression and notes. I think it's amazing.

Funny this song is listed as 2:27, guess most people just cut off the noodling :D I still haven't entirely got that section, not sure if I ever will, but I don't skip it either.
