Yeeeeeeeaaaa!
Hell, you found the second part of my RiP-Review.
Probably...
So, let's go on. With some more Metal and stuff.
After seeing several bands yesterday it should have been 11 today but it only had been 9. The first "Why" is what I'm gonna tell you after I told you how the concert by
Wirtz was.
Let's keep it the way it was: Short. Too short, because he was awesome.
The german vocalist amazed the audience at the Alternastage. With tracks like
Mon Amour or
Ne Weile her he really got us. He did a good gig. But much too short.
After that we got the sucky message that
Five Finger Death Punch would not be preforming. I was a lil' upset because is was truely looking for FFDP. But I can't change anything anyway so let's go on to another gig, the one wich was coming up now:
Hardcore Superstar. I didn't really know them before so I expected a Hardcore band. I was wrong. The Sleaze-Rockers entered the stage and threw off some colthes. They really rocked and
Into Debauchery and
We Don't Celebrate Sundays really stayed in mind. All in all it was an awesome gig and I really felt in love with the band.
Additionally, they remided me of
Love Fist from GTA - Vice City... :D
Note 3: Get the Hardcore Superstar Albums, bitch!
After Love Fist... uuuh I mean Hardcore Superstar left the crowd screaming for more,
DragonForce (wich, I still don't knwo why, are concidered as a "studio-metal-band" entered the stage.
Whyever, I mean, i have seen them live, how can they be a studio-band? Jesus!
Well, let's go on with the actual concert. Wich was wild! Either I am a pathetic sucky looser who thinks every band I see is cool or I was lucky and only saw awesome bands. I think... both.
They rocked off and showd real amazing riffs, especially funny was to watch the two guitarists having their private-battle for the most awesome solo. I suppose, non of them won. But they made a huge show out of it. It was truely cool, and also their vocalist impressed. With his singing... and his hair. Buddy, get a haircut.
And, of course. Anyone who knows DragonForce may suppose it:
Through The Fire and the Flames was amazing.
Up next: Shinedown. More and more people at the stages were aiming for the bands, and i first recodnized at
Shinedown that the crown knew a greater part of the lyrics. Anyway, back to the actual gig. Another cool one. And Shinedown was the first band who relly tried to envolve the audience, playing games like Left - Right - Left - Right and stuff. He tried something with his and our voices going louder, but I somehow did not understand. I just screamed. Loud.
Of course and - how fuckin surprising the crowed took off at
Second Chance. Yea, Shinedown was also pretty damn cool... fuck!
A crying-screamin crowd welcomed
Enter Shikari to germany, who immediately started ripping off one on another awesome-songs. (The actually were announced as "Enter Shakiri"... Fail.)
Right before the beginning, Ener-Shikari-Guitarist jumped right into the crowd (with diving-glasses on, for sure...), three minutes later, Rou (Vocalist) did exactly the same. And guess, who was one of them, who caught him. Sure, me.
And still we will be here, stading like statues!
Enter Shikari were really amazing, and of course, there was no food stading still anymore as they ripped of their masterpieces
Sorry, You're Not A Winner,
OK, Time For Plan B and, of course and most of all
Mothership.
For a Not-Yet-Released album they played pretty many tracks from the
Common Dreads-Album.
Not bad, but sadly the crowd can not realy take part in the unknown material.
Don't care for the material, Enter Shikari was fuckin' hot!
But the next guys were better. Not just better, they were amazing. They destoyed the stage and demonstrated, why they are supposed to be one of the best Live-Bands on earth. I'm talking about
Papa Roach.
They were not amazing. The were not great. They were not unbelievable. They were... there are actually no words for that, maybe iI should say unbelievable amazing-great. Shit man, shit! Jacoby Shaddix has apower and an energy on stage, wich is not normal.
They opened up with
...To Be Loved and kept on playing killer-tracks. From the oldschool
Between Angels and Insects or
Dead Cell (Jacoby dedicated Dead Cell to the "Old-School-Papa-Roach-Fans") or the absolute bruners like
Scars oder
Getting Away With Murder, they played just the best of the best. Jacoby fixed the crowd to his lips. It was great.
As Jacoby screamd "Are you pissed off these Barbie-Dolls like PARIS FUCKING HILTON? Are you pissed of Britney Spears? For me these are...
Hollywood Whores!" nobody had posibly a chance to scream anything else than "YEAAAA!!!". Even if one would love Hilton, he'd screamed.
As finisher Papa Roach chose
Last Resort. I will never, never, never, never, (...) never be able to forget that anymore.
It was perfection.
I missed Staind. Yea, truely. I didn't know Staind and I nearly had to throw off (I suppose it was cause I was so hungry). I left the first row (in wich I was standin all the time) to get back to the tent. I ate some stuff and drank some, rested for some minutes.
After sleeping für half an hour I got back up onto my feet, catched a beer and marched right back to the Alternastage. I was awaiting
Killswitch Engage. I made my way back to row seven or stuff, where was real party. Killswitch Engage was murderous and LOUD. I suppose that
My Curse ruled the most. Also real cool was the new track. They actually played only one song from their not-released disc, wich I think was very positive. The song, I suppose it was
Reckoning, was pretty damn cool. Made me looking forward to the album. I jumped right into the Moshpit where a stupid 2.13-Meter-Guy wich was like 210 kilos had the pretty not-funny idea, to wear his leather jacket wich was blotched with spikes. I totally hurt my whole back and shoulder jumping into him without recodinzing that jacked.
Guy, if you read this: That was not fair. Not fair!!
Ignoring my hurning back, the gig was great.
Wich I cannot say about the next one.
Marilyn Manson came up. It was digussing. First, they (or shall is say "he") startet up half an hour too late. Then he preformed two songs, after wich he broke down. He laid onto the stage, was not able to get up anymore. The forgot his lyrics so a guy had to kneel right in front of him with a sheet with the lyrics on it and talked something about rape being surprise sex. He managed to preform
Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), after that he gave up. MM quit the stage half an hour too early and noone was really sad about that. Manson was the only act I really did not like at the whole festival.
What was left of the day was approx. an hour of waiting and an great gig by
KoЯn!
Davis and his boys preformed a real nice concerty up there, playing legends like
Coming Undone,
Blind or
Did My Time. They did not preform Twisted Transistor, everyone was a little surprised. As a live-first-time-ever they played the funny
Ya'll Want A Single, wich was cool since everyone could easyly sing with them. But, honestly, nealy everyone knew the lyrics of all the songs anyway. After
Another Brick In The Wall they made a "break", came back under heavy applause, played the already mentioned Blind and
Somebody Someone. As great finisher ("Anyone who does not know this song is definily not a KoЯn fan.") they played
Got the Life.
Another great gig at Rock im Park saturday.
The Chart after Day 2 does look lik this:
1. Papa Roach
[A long space of nothing]
2. Hollywood Undead and KoЯn
3. Hardcore Superstar and Shinedown
Waiting for the sunday I broke down at the tent at about 1 AM after 12 hours of music.
Impressing day. For sure.
Bands I'd liked to see but couldn't because I've seen different ones whil they were playing:
-Placebo
