Sooo, here the blog goes on^^. The first one seems to be to long (Didn’t show the links anymore).
The facts are the same, just the prosecution.

This Mess Is Mine

This artist is, amongst other good ones :), detectable on the aerotone website. (Everybody who likes calm and (a bit) melancholic music as much as I do should take a look at it). The music consists particularly of his guitar and his voice and the ones of a woman. That’s already enough to get beautiful music!
Once again, some opinions I heard about it were, that he seems to cry in the next moment. But I think that this is the point, which turns this music into the special one, which it is. You can perfectly dream away while listening to it (consider
Family Tree Burning – my preferred one!!! :) – as well as
Roommates concerning this aspect). If you are exhausted it suits too very well.
Sad but true, it seems like he doesn’t create music at the moment (and the near future)... Hope it will change soon :)

I Will Possess Your Heart

Today (tonight, if I look at the clock ^^) I glanced at the myspace site of Death Cab for Cutie (break in learning). I heard from a new album and wanted to clear up, if you can already listen to it. It seems to be out for a time, so I’m a bit late with it ^^.
Not much to say about the song, it’s just beautiful! I always had to switch to the myspace site, to repeat it :D. Sure, the “... spent some time...” appears often, but it doesn’t get monotonous. The melody is very very nice, at all along with the piano parts. And yeah... just listen to it once (or more^^) and convince yourself.
*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*
Donau Experience

I think, I heard this song (from the band Kruder & Dorfmeister) the first time, when the lastfm software played similar artists of Nightmares on Wax. The song is pure chillout and lounge music. To just sit (chill ;) ) in your chair and tap with your feet/ fingers to the beat.
The piano supports the dominant beat well. Together with the background theme, the song is kind of not seizeable (in a good way^^). It results in a great atmosphere (sure, I like atmospheric music XD). After about 3 minutes also a vocal part joins in.
*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*
Jóvenes y Sexys

Comeback of unfamiliar characters (there seems to be a learning effect beside the music listening^^). This music is just pure happiness =). The best example for this cheerful attitude is
El Reloj (my favourite, who wonders^^, followed by
Divine Hammer) with its comical beginning. But I think it suits very well. Sure, the tracks are also calm – the guitar and the keyboard (ain’t there one?^^) are two of the main reasons for it -, but way not like... e.g. This Mess Is Mine.
Anyway, this band produces music using a (one?) guitar, some drum like things, a keyboard and sometimes various other stuff like handclaps, clocks, and so on, the most important thing is the voice though. It was kinda new to me, there wasn’t a feeling like “ah, I know...”, what could also be due to the foreign, unknown language. So the music’s nature forces me to still listen to’em. =)
The 4 songs seem to be the only ones, who’re available/ out (didn’t found any other ones on the internet ._. ).

Lemongrass

This is a special (and for me cool^^) artist. There is a wide spectrum of styles belonging to this band. If you listen through a CD, you won't get annoyed. Because of this fact it catched my interest. While searching for some chillout/ lounge music, the possibility to listen to a whole CD (tracks sometimes fully available on lastfm) was enough, to give a try^^.
Here we go: Let's take for example the album Filmothèque (the one I own^^). The first two tracks are more lounge like (
elle et moi and
Hot Day).
Then there is a just beautiful track, made with a ... stringed instrument (as if I could distinguish between'em ^^, could be a violin or a cello or kind of that...). I really like this sort of tracks of lemongrass. Concern
Rendez-Vous for another example (will definitely get this album too^^). In a way a step towards jazz because of the instruments.
Then there are even more jazzy tracks (
The Camera and
Fritz the Cat). And there are too some beautiful tracks (
Farewell as well as
Ajisai (Hydrangea)). Nice to listen to, will doing something. No vocal or a very weak vocal part, which could distract and perfectly appropriate to dream.
Anyway, it never looses it's "lounge touch".

Iambic²

I caught a glimpse of the recommendation site of lastfm. Intended to get an idea of how much this feature changed (if it did so). A nice new aspect is, that you see which artists are similar to this one. In my case the similar ones were Le Mépris and Cantaloup, so I merely HAD to take a moment for it ^^. I can't really distinguish all the songs, a problem I've always got from ambient artists without a singer. So I can just point at a few ones I remember well.
Iambic² is a pretty nice ambient artist. The picture I took (nice artwork) represents very well the feeling Iambic² gives. Some kind of rainy day, you sit there in front of your window and, while watching out, you think of... whatever matters you. Or you can stand somewhere on a wiiide plain, the sun is going down behind some clouds... ah you know what I mean ^^. Very atmospherique music but it won't disturb or distract your thoughts. Made with “tiny” up to “room filling” sounds, part of it created by some instruments I guess (piano and such). Perfect for drawing, reading, writing, or just resting.
Enigma (a gem! One of the few ones with a bit vocal parts in it) as well as
Aura (just read the title and you shouldn't expect anything else ^^ ) manages that well. Another good (all are good ;-) ) one is
Going Home with a piano joining at 3:30 (around there). This change is very well made. The same thing happens in the track
Touch the Sky with the singer (the second gem!)
*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*
Hideaway

Here we are again. I already wrote about the album Say I Am You. I was quit excited about this sedativ and warm voice and music of The Weepies. Later on I even bought the album (well... “even” isn't the right word, it was a pleasure =) ) and I think it was really worth to do so. I don't want to compare the two albums in every detail. Perhaps while writing, some comparisons may arrive (accidentally or not^^).
So here is the next album (don't know when it came out, either way it's the newest one). The main aspects, for which I liked about The Weepies, are so far still there. Still a very positive music =). Even when I'm exhausted working but am able to listen to music (sometimes even the slightest sound is too much... or you merely got no possibility to turn music on), it helps a lot. At all, when I was alone and could listen to it enough loud^^.
This time, there are three tracks I'm fond of ^^. Starting with
Antarctica (with this sometimes a bit higher sung words/ sentences... just listen to the chorus ^^), then
Orbiting (aaah so nice =)! this intro... and then, well overtaking, the music itself. Afterward the chorus... I struggled a bit in which track I should put in my fav song list. But All good Things won) and the third one
All Good Things (not much to say about, see Orbiting. As you can see, this song arrived in my fav songs on the right side of my profile ^^. At all a very positive track/ message. Close your eyes and listen =) ).
*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*
Not An Exception (feat. Franz Schubert)

This artist isn't a new one for me. He was recommended to me some time ago (thanks to Alfred04654 ^^). The music is nice to listen to. Though it isn't taking away my breath yet I like it very well =). A good voice with this “needed” volume and a well accompanying guitar.
Well, then there was this track. It's not that different from the rest of the songs Leiv Reed made, but it catched me in a way (the possibility to stream it fully is not the reason ^^). I can't say, what it really is... Perhaps this warmth I like about some tracks and I'm always in search of. 10 minutes you may ask (there were some who asked me that ^^)? Isn't that a bit long? Seeing boredom arriving? True, there exist a lot of tracks which last 10 or more minutes and a lot of these don't turn out very well. But this one doesn't seem to wear out. Enough variety and no long boring instrumental part.
*.*.*.*.*.*.*.*
Entertainment For The Braindead

A new netlabel artist arrived in my blog (I'm a fan of netlabel artists =) ). I got the hint of this one from phlow magazine and switched to the website of it (her ^^). Well, that's already past, for a long time now. But at this time, this blog wasn't ongoing (or there were too much new bands... nevertheless I'm lazy sometimes ^^' ). However, recently, the new album Hydrophobia came out (Aerotone!! =) ) and I was pretty excited. At all, because it was announced a few weeks before the release (nothing special) and I couldn't wait ^^ (same happened when the new Cantaloup album came out). Lucky me, I could listen to the songs on myspace.
The music is a very warm one. I'm not that good in genre classification, so I never try to do so (and speak/ write more on adjectives). But besides other music, you feel in a way that there's just one person behind it. Each song seems to be created “handmade”. The music is made of the sound of an ukulele and various sounds from whatever item there is around at her house. Before I read about Entertainment for the Braindead, I didn't think about it, but after observing this aspect I noticed it too (I'm merely too slow ^^). Therefore I think that's a special thing about this music and why it sounds handmade. Perhaps because of this creating (composing fits better) process and because the sounds come from one person (no electronically built effects) it sounds so cosy as if it was live. Well, live is always different, sure, however in a way you can believe it could sound like that live. Another reason, why I like this music that much (see my favourites songs ;o) ) is for sure, that it is calm (my weakness ^^). Once again perfect suited during or after work (you don't really like). Or just to relax while listening to a warm voice (reminds me of The Weepies). Perhaps you don't like netlabel artists because they aren't perfect or sound a bit unprofessional at this or that point. But I like them for this aspect, the music gives more a feeling of the composers =).
Uh, already a longer blog part (I think I just write too much ^^') this time. I'm not aware of how much songs I like ^^ but there are some special ones. Afternoon for it's (ukulele^^) melody which haunts me, Cocoon, too because of the nice (flute kind) melody and the very very well supporting voice. Then there is
Fences with a good tension through the whole track (lovely voice ^^) and a fire (fav song) which includes in a way everything good of the other three ones (but the tension is even better =) ).

Nada Surf

Thursday evening, a friend of me asked me if I'd like to accompany him on a concert of Nada Surf. I didn't knew'em so far, so he played 3 or 4 songs on his music player to give me an idea of their music (from the new album Lucky, so far I remember). First impression was, that this band has to be one of those indie rock bands (not the older meaning of indie) where the whole crowd starts dancing, jumping and so on. Hence I agreed and was there at Nada Surf's concert.
The concert itself was way fun. Once again (same as at the concert of R.E.M.) the crowd wasn't so fast animated (like, for example, when I went to a folk concert like Schandmaul or Die Streuner). But still everyone was at least moving to the beat and had fun (hope so ^^). Don't know which songs they played 'cause I still don't have a overwhelming overlook about all their songs (recognise some by listening through their songs).
As I already wrote, the band plays indie rock music (as I imagine it to be like, regarding my experience with such music). Fresh and happy dance music, some nice melodies as well as a few experimental tracks (like North (!)... One they played at the gig was
The Fox I think). You really have to move at least the head/ hand/ whatever to the beat. I was a bit surprised, that (at least live, not-live this disappears) such a band relys so much on the beat (so they had a plus from me from the beginning on ^^' ). Or perhaps I merely didn't listen to the “right” artists so far ^^. Another thing is, that they use fast changes of the tempo, introduced with a small even faster sample of the drums, to switch between melodies and dance parts.
Fruit Fly is a good example (fun introduction at the concert =), yes, they're evil guys), starting with the mere guitar. Or
Ice on the Wing (I like this one a lot, perhaps because it can't be helped, that it reminds me of a song of R.E.M. in the chorus ^^' ). A good, “just” happy – track is
Blankest Year (with a complex text for the spectators ;o) ). I also like in a way the a bit unfamiliar voice of the singer (see
Whose Authority during the strophes).

First release (VA - Lounge du soleil, Vol.1)
20 Kas 2007, 19:15 yazan alexhudish
Dear friends,
It’s a great pleasure for me to announce that my track
At Ease has been featured on an MP3 download compilation, “Lounge du soleil Vol.1” on Lemongrassmusic. The track is taken from the upcoming album One on Transsonic Records.
It's available for purchase on iTunes. Read the album details below and use this iTunes store link to buy the album.

Feel free to reply with questions or comments.
Alex
With Lounge du Soleil Volume 1 Lemongrassmusic initiates a new compilation concept: ready for download only. Artists from 9 different countries mingle on the first edition and present their 16 tracks full of warmth and pleasure.
At the centre of it all is the sun. As the sun witnesses the rise of beautiful music all around the globe, Lemongrassmusic has chosen a floral symbol of the sun for its logo. On Lounge du Soleil, the sun is the overall metaphor for the music selection, connoting life-giving light, brightness, serenity and guidance.
Even at first listening, you will also discover the inner sun - within the songs and within yourself.
Thoughts and spirits will soar, doors to new insights open, internal balance and growth result. Grateful joy is what you feel.
To add further value, most tracks are previously unreleased and salvaged from the deepest chambers of the cornucopia of global sounds. New artists Nana Wang (China), Alex Hudish (Israel) and Jet Tricks (England) encounter Japanese singer Yukiko Iiri and French project Kay Dee (both discoveries from Garden vol. 2) to help make it a worldwide collection.
While the first four tracks emanate a dreamlike atmosphere sending slow-motion sun rays deep into your heart, the middle part of the compilation has some vibrating sounds in store. From Kay Dees innovative R&B arrangement, the global beats of Genetic Drugs & Jasmon to Tafubars laid back House grooves, theres all you could ask for to experience pulsating happiness.
Lemongrass The Time Flight, Yukiko Iiri Nobody Can Be and Green Empathy Kamasutra (Remix by Jasmon) then wrap you up in a big cuddle. Among the slow-motion highlights are Nana Wangs Love Will Tear Us Apart with its whispered Chinese-English vocals and Alex Hudish who sets you At Ease. The concluding track by Lemongrass is as programmatic as convincing: Feel good.

Hey you, what's up?
As promised, an album called "ONE" is going to be released in late November this year. More details on the date and where to get it soon.
Also, look out for a brand new chillout mix on Lemongrassmusic called "Lounge Du Soleil, Vol.1" in November, which is going to include my track "At Ease" among other fine lounge tracks, handpicked by the chillout master Roland Voss, aka Lemongrass.
And finally, as always, I'm continuing to work on new material, so check out my website for new tracks and info about the upcoming album.
Thanks for listening and feel free to contact me about anything in the world, especially chicks and free junk food offers.
Adios,
Alex Hudish -

У mus1k я подсмотрел Noize MC, а у unlamed - Lemongrass и Zero 7.
