1. How did you get into 29? (Sonata Arctica)

It was quite a while ago now, and I heard a few songs here and there and I enjoyed them quite a bit. Then my friend Heidi prodded me to listen to them more and I did. XD

2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? (Cog)

Oh god, the first Cog song I heard. I don't even remember. It was probably something off The New Normal though.

3. What’s your favourite lyric by 33? (Apocalyptica)

Well a lot of Apocalyptica has no lyrics, so this isn't really fair. But I do like the song SOS (Anything But Love) a lot. So all of that will do.

Porcupine Tree - In Absentia

This is my favorite purchase in quite some time. I've heard about Porcupine Tree for quite some time, but only recently bought some of their material. This album ranges from beautiful (Trains, Collapse the Light Into Earth, The Sound of Muzak, Gravity Eyelids) to some ugly parts (Strip the Soul, The Creator Has a Mastertape, Wedding Nails) and some that fit somewhere in between (Blackest Eyes). This is a very solid album and even the "ugly" songs have acoustic mellow parts. I can't understand why iTunes thinks this is "Alternative/Punk." There is no punk and it is all about musicality. Prog Rock is a better tag, but still not on the mark. Amazing album nonetheless. Anybody who really wants to digest an album would enjoy In Absentia.

I 'nicked' this from my brother (Ad_nauseam, or 'ginger scum' as he's known to the police).

1. How did you get into 29? (Dead Can Dance)

It was several years ago now, but I'd heard a lot about them and how they'd influenced some great bands, so I downloaded some stuff. It was amazing.

2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? (Opeth)

That would be the masterful In My Time of Need when it came out. I believe I heard it on Total Rock. It blew me away, and it's still one of my most-listened songs.

3. What’s your favorite lyric by 33? (Sepultura)

Dunno really. They're not the greatest, but there's a lot of feeling in there. No specific lyrics come to mind unfortunately.

4. What is your favorite album by 49? (Ministry)

I still don't own them all, but I love Houses Of The Molé

5. How many albums by 13 do you own? (Nevermore)

All of them, thanks.

6. What is your favorite song by 50? (Rammstein)

Tough one. I love their epic ballads like Mutter, Ohne dich and Feuer und Wasser. I also love Klavier. And Du hast.

Most of the songs from Tattooed Millionaire make me sad, but only because they're bad.

Probably Master of Puppets. I might've said ...And Justice for All had the bass on that album been audible.

Now that's almost impossible to answer. There are tons that come very close but I think I'm going to have to say The Sexuality of Bereavement.

Er...no.

I still only have their first three, but I doubt that they've ever topped their debut In The Court Of The Crimson King.

I have no idea. Their songs seem to merge into each other. It's probably something from either Perdition City or Shadows of the Sun.

Seeing them live was rather enjoyable!

It's a tie between Europe Is Our Playground (not bad for a b-side, huh?), Still Life and Pantomime Horse.

for some reason Living With War comes fairly close, but otherwise, I think not.

None. They split before I heard them. I've seen two of them with other bands since though.

No idea. Probably something from one of their first two albums.

That would probably be Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

Er...Eddie.

Seriously, don't get me started on Maiden - we'll be here for hours.

No. Layne's dead, and he's irreplaceable. The new guy ain't that good (although Layne is of course a tough act to follow). If they come to play near me, I'll go and see them.

21. What is a good memory involving 27? (Pantera)

No particularly good memories. One thing that does come to mind is from the day after Dimebag's murder was announced. In college, the metalheads were wearing Pantera shirts. (Except me, because I don't have one.)

I just thought that was nice, that's all.

I think I made up for my lack of shirt by writing 'RIP Dimebag Darrell' on the wall of one of the toilet cubicles.

My view on this changes all the time. I might have to go with Coma White at the minute.

I can't remember. Probably either Seasons in the Abyss or Angel of Death. I'm leaning towards the former.

From an artistic point of view, Closer, but otherwise I would probably say Something I Can Never Have, Hurt or The Great Below. Or Right Where It Belongs.
