Tori Amos

Favourite track: Changes often, but Precious Things is probably the ~*ultimate*~ Tori song.
Least favorite track: Barring anything on The Beekeeper, which might as well not exist, I'd have to say Flying Dutchman.
Happy song:
Secret Spell
Sad song: "Sad" is an understatement, but Me and a Gun is pretty jarring on the sad side of the spectrum of emotions
If a song had to be played when you entered the room, it would be: Datura
First song you heard: Crucify, when it was a new single on the radio. I loved it.
Last song you listened to: Listening to
Caught a Lite Sneeze at the moment.
Best album: Boys for Pele, no contest.
Worst album: The Beekeeper
Best live song:
The Waitress
Song that describes you: I think the stock answer for most would be Precious Things.
Song for your funeral: Mother is the first song that came to mind.
Most overrated song:
Siren-- I don't get the hype. At all.
Most underrated song:
Marianne
Song you wish you wrote: Professional Widow; I want "balls" like that.
The Smashing Pumpkins

Favourite track: Again, changes often, but
Soma is my ultimate.
Least favorite track:
Take Me Down is certainly not their worst, but it's existence on Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness makes me hate it. :P
Happy song:
Luna <3
Sad song: Um, SP songs.. sad? Blasphemy!
To Forgive is as sad as anything I've heard.
If a song had to be played when you entered the room, it would be:
Crush
First song you heard:
Today more-than-likely.
Last song you listened to: Listening to
Geek U.S.A. at this very moment.
Best album: Siamese Dream, but for me, their first three albums are, for all intents and purposes, tied.
Worst album: Zeitgeist
Best live song: The versions of
Stumbleine on the Adore tour are so fucking blissful.
Song that describes you:
Sweet Sweet ;)
Song for your funeral:
Soot and Stars
Most overrated song:
Tonight, Tonight
Most underrated song:
Starla
Song you wish you wrote:
By Starlight
Sonic Youth

Favourite track: That's actually really hard to decide, but probably
Mote <3Lee<3
Least favorite track: Meh, probably
My Friend Goo
Happy song:
Reena
Sad song:
Tunic (Song for Karen) is very maccabre.
If a song had to be played when you entered the room, it would be: bee-bee's song
First song you heard: Probably
The Diamond Sea when it was on the radio.
Last song you listened to: Listening to
Saucer-Like now. <3Lee<3
Best album: Their "best" is Daydream Nation but my favorite is probably Washing Machine.
Worst album: I don't really like Bad Moon Rising :x
Best live song: --
Song that describes you:
No Queen Blues ;P
Song for your funeral:
Karen Koltrane <3Lee<3
Most overrated song: I'm not going to say Superstar, so instead I'll say
Kool Thing but I still love that song. I really don't think any of their original shit is "overrated" in the traditional sense.
Most underrated song:
Sunday
Song you wish you wrote:
Wish Fulfillment <3Lee<3
PJ Harvey

Favourite track:
Big Exit is fucking electric.
Least favorite track: Not a fan of
50 Ft Queenie
Happy song:
We Float is so full of bliss.
Sad song:
To Talk To You
If a song had to be played when you entered the room, it would be:
Working for the Man
First song you heard: The first song I *really* listened to was
Angelene.
Last song you listened to: Listening to
To Bring You My Love at the moment.
Best album: Not the most popular opinion, but I think Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea is her "best."
Worst album: I guess Uh Huh Her but there's something unique and wonderful about them all, really.
Best live song: --
Song that describes you: Right now, I feel like
Good Fortune is very apropos. ;)
Song for your funeral:
White Chalk
Most overrated song:
Down by the Water is her most popular, really, but there's so much better Polly Jean songs.
Most underrated song:
Dear Darkness
Song you wish you wrote:
White Chalk

Dirty Three RAGE guest programmers!!!
7 Eki 2008, 13:51 yazan BlackCoffeeDuck
On the 19th August 2006 Dirty Three guest programmed RAGE. Dirty Three is my favourite band. And RAGE is a late night Aussie TV show which invites bands or artists to pick favourite songs or video clips or the video clips of their favourite songs. At this time it was Dirty Three’s last full Aussie tour for the new album Cinder which was a year old anyway. So writing now means it has been almost five years since a new Dirty Three album. At the moment bands like Portishead and The Drones are my favourite bands but off course both have pulled out new albums this year. Portishead took ten years for Third but it is one of the greatest albums ever. But I hope Dirty Three don’t take that long for a new album.
Warren Ellis has joined Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and started a new band with Nick Cave called Grinderman. Jim White is playing for Cat Power, PJ Harvey, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Beth Orton, Nina Nastasia so he’s a drummer for hire for anyone he wants to play for. Mick Turner has been the quietest but has had solo albums and painting exhibitions. Dirty Three have played together a few times but these shows are getting less and less. Since this tour they have done Chinese tour, curated the ATP festival in England and played festival shows in France, Spain, Australia and the last one being The End of the Road festival in England. So there haven’t broke up but just haven’t done anything new for a long time. Anyone who has not seen the Dirty Three DVD which came out last year should check it out because it’s the closest to a new album and one of the greatest music docos and live show double DVD ever.
Anyway here what Dirty Three picked that night -
Nina Simone - Revolution
Erykah Badu - Tyrone
Ol' Dirty Bastard - I Got Cha Money
Cat Power - Living Proof
Deerhoof - Wrong Time Capsule
Art of Fighting - Reasons Are All I Have Left
Joanna Newsom - Sprout & The Bean
Art of Fighting - The Unappreciated
Smog - I Feel Like The Mother Of The World
Joel Silbersher - Through The Manoeuvres
Tendrils - Soaking Red
Joel Silbersher - Flappin' On A Hook
Russell Morris - Sweet Sweet Love
Robert Forster - Baby Stones
Palace Brothers - Ohio River Boat Song
Crow - Railhead
Jerry Lee Lewis - Whole Lotta Shakin'
Them - Baby Please Don't Go
Canned Heat - On The Road Again
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Ice Cream For Crow
Beasts of Bourbon - Words From A Woman To A Man
Ed Kuepper - The Way I Made You Feel
Dave Graney with the White Buffaloes - Robert Ford On The Stage
Dragon - Get That Jive
Slade - Get Down & Get With It
Rose Tattoo - Rock & Roll Outlaw
God - My Pal
The Saints - Run Down
Sex Pistols - Anarchy In The U.K.
The Only Ones - Another Girl, Another Planet
The Stooges - Loose
Laughing Clowns - Holy Joe
The Reels - Bad Moon Rising
Jimmy Cliff - Reggae Night
Bob Dylan - Things Have Changed
The Who - Can't Explain
The Birthday Party - Release The Bats
Einstürzende Neubauten - Halber Mensche
Well what happens next is RAGE plays all of the Dirty Three video clips which you don’t really get to see that often. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds videos follow that night too. If anyone knows what the Dirty Three are up to now please let me know. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. -
Sarah Blasko RAGE guest programmer!!!
7 Eki 2008, 13:21 yazan BlackCoffeeDuck
On the 5th November 2005 Sarah Blasko was the RAGE guest programmer so I’m going to list it in this journal on last.fm. Sarah Blasko is my favourite female singer, along with PJ Harvey and Beth Gibbons, but Sarah is the only one who has guest programmed RAGE. I did a journal about Nick Cave (check my older journals for that) and he’s my favourite male singer along with Bob Dylan and Tom Waits but they haven’t done RAGE either. I’m going to do a journal about when Dirty Three were RAGE guest programmers, which is my favourite band. The Drones and Portishead are other favourite bands but once again neither have guest programmed RAGE. If some how I’ve missed these bands and they have done RAGE please let me know.
I’m going to link all the songs Sarah Blasko picked that night for easy to find. Maybe you should look the videos up on youtube if you wanted to see them because RAGE is a TV show if you don’t know. If you live overseas or on another planet, RAGE is an Aussie late night TV show that bands or artists pick their favourite songs and show video clips for the songs. They talk about some but don’t really say any thing more than “I love this song” type of thing. I do have Sarah’s night on video tape if I can find it and plug in the video player, see what she has to say. I do remember she invited someone from her band in to talk about his favourite band which I think is the R.E.M. song but that is from memory.
Anyway here is the list below -
Radiohead - Pyramid Song
UNKLE - Rabbit In Your Headlights
Interpol - Evil
The Flaming Lips - Do You Realize??
The Sleepy Jackson - Sunkids
Wilco - Shot in the Arm
Cat Power - He War
PJ Harvey - A Place Called Home
Kelis - Caught Out There
Missy Elliott - Work It
Pulp - This is Hardcore
Babybird - Bad Old Man
Tricky - Poems
The Postal Service - Such Great Heights
Underground Lovers - Losin' It
The Smiths - Ask
R.E.M. - South Central Rain
Smudge - Hot Potato
Belle and Sebastian - Lazy Line Painter Jane
Badly Drawn Boy - Silent Sigh
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Breathless
Sounds Like Sunset - Each Time You Smile
Youth Group - Skeleton Jar
dEUS - Instant Street
The Muppets - Rainbow Connection
Joanna Newsom - Sprout & The Bean
Björk - Pagan Poetry
Sparklehorse - Sunshine
Heligoland - Lo Scavo
Scud Mountain Boys - Penthouse In The Woods
Dave Graney 'N' the Coral Snakes - Rock 'N' Roll Is Where I Hide
Eurythmics - Here Comes The Rain Again
INXS - Original Sin
The Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
Sonic Youth - Sunday
Frente! - Ordinary Angels
Wheat - Don't I Hold You
Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
Holly Throsby - We're Good People But Why Don't We Show It?
The Shins - New Slang
Well that is it. What happens next is RAGE plays all of Sarah video clips and that night it was followed by all of Kate Bush’s video clips too. If anyone knows what Sarah is up to now please let me know. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. -
White Chalk
6 Eki 2008, 22:21 yazan baluria
White chalk hills are all I've known
White chalk hills will rot my bones
White chalk sticking to my shoes
White chalk playing as a child with you
White chalk sat against time
White chalk cutting down the sea line
I know Mary's by the surf
On a path cut 1500 years ago
And I know these chalk hills will rot my bones
Dorset's cliffs meet at the sea
Where I walked
(Our unborn child in me)
White chalk
(Poor scattered land)
Scratch my palms
There's blood on my hands

Chyba last fm mnie zaślepił.
