the thing with this one... which can be either good or bad, is that I think that she used this songs as a kind of therapy, and she was having a really bad time, so everytime I listent to it, her mood at the time she wrote/recorded/produced this album, creeps into my brain and makes me have a bad time too... I can't say I like this album because I don't... the one of her catalogue I like the less

I'm so surprised that people don't embrace this album like so many of her others. There are so many highlights. There's not a song on here I don't like. Beautiful moments everywhere lyrically and musically. It is the only album in her catalogue, though, that sort of sounds like something she's done before...But that's not a bad thing :D

You can definitely hear the edge of the White Chalk sound creeping in, but as an album its a bit patchy. Like it though.

I think this is her most underrated work. For me out of all her albums it is my favourite one as she produced it herself and said it was an exhausting process I think it's really projected on to it. But agree that it takes more than one listen to love.

this album has grown on me a lot, its the hardest to get into out of all her albums. I do love the whole thing now - even tracks like Pocket Knife which I didn't get the point of at first. It's all lovely stuff.

It's a hell of a lot better than Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea, that's for sure. I think it's a very beautiful album- very desperate and raw and rough. Not as good as Is This Desire? or To Bring You My Love though.
