going back to Ragibs comment, there is loads of evidence for his exsistance, testomonies, Recordings, Photographs, Decendents...Much Much more than most blues muscians from this era. Also take a look at Robert Petway another musician similar to RJ.

RJ is actually quite a late musician of his period, more in the vein of Tommy McClennan as a musician I would say than Son House or Charley Patton. Blues of the late 30's is quite a bit different from pre-depression recordings
