Mayıs 2009TehAvocado: yes, one friend told me the same thing not long ago, too :) It's an interesting coincidence about that common name :D

Mayıs 2009Listening to "Sophisticated" right now. Sounds like a mixture of Watchtower and Rush with a vocalist I can actually stomach. Not bad! Would be better if some of the vocal melodies weren't so cheesy.

Nisan 2009Anybody else only hear of this band by searching Sodom on MA?
-
Lilldjuret90 şunu yazdı:
Nisan 2009I just started listening to The Art of Navigating by the Stars, and this may very well be one of those bands worth absolutely obsessing over. I love how they are spread over the entire spectrum of progressive metal and rock, their versatility and their musicianship.

BurningRemnant şunu yazdı:
Nisan 2009Try A Sense of Change. That's their most Rush album and IMO also their greatest. But I'm glad they are no copycats they just show the influences they have. They can't deny them anyway

Mart 2009I am listening to my first Sieges Even song, The Weight, and less than half way into it I hear the Rush influences screaming out, I can't believe that they started as a Watchtower clone. I cannot wait to hear everything else they've recorded.

Ekim 2008They made beautiful music together, why did you have to split up?? >> You better get together again and record a new Sieges Even Album in 2011 or 2013!

Eylül 2008A real shame that they´ve split up! I hope the new band of the singer and the guitarrist (subsignal) is nearly as good as sieges even!

Ağustos 2008I know they are (they have 875 plays in my charts). I was refering to Nocturne, who feels he HAS to listen to them, even though he obviously finds them contemptible.

Ağustos 2008Guys where can I order Playgrounds? It seems like it is out of stock. Do you have any idea when will it be available again?
-
--Nocturne-- şunu yazdı:
Ağustos 2008And for fucks sake, The whole Martin Luther Speech? What a Lazy, Pseudo-Intelectual addition to a song... Of course, no beef on Ol' Martin, but you can't expect to reiterate the meaning of that speech as powerfully as he did yourself with some shitty song, they don't got no right.
-
--Nocturne-- şunu yazdı:
Ağustos 2008Jesus, how many lyrical cliches do thiese guys have to break before they're satisfied? It's actually what's keeping me from liking this band. The vocals are good and strong, the musicmanship is fairly meh, but the vocals are so high in the mix, rendering it impossible to elude yourself from the awful lyrics. They're force fed to you, it's cringingly bad.

Ağustos 2008Having just discovered The Art of Navigating by the Stars... I must say, I think I like it better than Paramount. And Paramount is incredible, though I do agree that it kind of loses steam towards the end, the last two tracks in particular. The Art of Navigating by the Stars just seems more consistent in quality. Very nice instrumentals too. The flute in Lighthouse is a very nice compliment to an amazing friggin song. I'm glad I discovered these guys. :)

Mayıs 2008Paramount sounded pretty good, especially the first songs but then i got the feeling it kinda loses itself as the album comes to the end. Still, not bad at all. Navigating by the star is amazing, anyway.

Mayıs 2008Their drummer astounds me each time I listen to one of their songs. Not only does he have the technical skill of someone like Neil Peart, he writes some of the most creative and innovative drum lines I've ever heard.
