Nah. The Beard are neither pop oriented nor are they undermined by their rock tendencies. They are a progressive rock band that makes interesting and straightforward progressive music. It's not that difficult. This is for people who like upbeat rock but want something deeper and more involved than Boston.

"Spock’s Beard play a brand of progressive rock with pop music leanings" Bullshit. They have ROCK/AOR music leanings, which is something entirely different and completely undermines their Prog aspects. This is music for people who would listen to a Celine Dion or Foreigner track if as long as someone spliced in a 5/8 bit with a guitar and keyboard solo in it.
