  • 30 Things about my Top 30 (stolen from Roo - even the format has been stolen). =D

    7 Eyl 2008, 19:50 yazan Lukle

    1. How did you get into 29?
System of a Down: I was given Mezmerize by a friend for my 16th birthday.

    2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22?
Bleeding Through: ÇalLove Lost in a Hail of Gunfire

    3. How many albums by 13 do you own?
Iron Maiden: 8 (including a greatest hits).

    4. What is your favorite song by 15?
The Black Dahlia Murder: Elder Misanthropy

    5. What is your favorite song by 5?
    Shadows Fall: ÇalIdle Hands

    6. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy?
    Dimmu Borgir: The Chosen Legacy

    7. What is your favorite song by 10?
DevilDriver: Either Revelation Machine, Pale Horse Apocalypse or Not All Who Wander Are Lost

    8. What is a good memory you have involving 30?
Deicide: Reading a Terrorizer magazine featuring Glen Benton as cover star on the bus and getting a funny look from an old fogey. They probably knew what Deicide means. =P
Kreator: Mark pissing his pants (not literally) when they were announced as headliners for Damnation 2007.

Deicide and Kreator are currently joint 30th.

    9. Is there a song by 19 that makes you happy?
Cannibal Corpse: Nope, I can't say I've ever used Cannibal Corpse to try and cheer myself up. =P

    10. How many times have you seen 26 live?
Napalm Death: None yet, that shall however change in November. Damnation Festival ftw! =D

    11. What is the first song you ever heard by 23?
Megadeth: Peace Sells, heard courtesy of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

    12. What is your favorite album by 11?
    Malevolent Creation: The Ten Commandments

    13. Who is your favorite member of 1?
Children of Bodom: Jaska Raatikainen innit. Drummers stick together. =P

    14. Have you ever seen 14 live?
Nile: No. Alas I had a chance to see them on their current UK tour (w/ Grave, and Belphegor), but decided not to. Hopefully, Download has a space in the 3rd tent for Nile in the next few years. Either them, or Bloodstock Open Air and/or Damnation Festival.

    15. What is a good memory involving 27?
Cascada: Seeing a video of hers on The Hits. Man she's fit. =P

    16. What is your favorite song by 16?
Job for a Cowboy: ÇalAltered From Catechization and ÇalCoalescing Prophecy

    17. What is your favorite album by 18?
Behemoth: The Apostasy. It's rather brutal. I thought Demigod was awesome, but blown out of the water by it's follow-up in terms of technical proficiency and general awesomeness. I should check out more of Behemoth's earlier stuff actually.

    18. What is your favorite song by 21?
Sonic the Hedgehog: Technically not an artist, and the songs are more Level music from the games, but it's either the level music for Final Fortress (from Sonic Heroes) is the best (as when I first heard it, I thought it resembled the song ÇalDeath in Fire by Amon Amarth, or the Super Sonic tune from Sonic The Hedgehog 2.
    [/nerd] =P

    19. What is the first song you ever heard by 25?
    Morbid Angel: ÇalRapture

    20. What is your favorite album by 2?
Cryptopsy: Once Was Not. Just a shame it was followed up by the abomination otherwise known as The Unspoken King

    21. What is you favorite song by 3?
Trivium: It's too hard to call, they have many awesome songs.

    22. What is you favorite song by 8?
Exodus: .44 Magnum Opus, the lyrics are awesome, and it's my favourite song off my favourite Exodus album (Shovel Headed Kill Machine)

    23. How many times have you seen 17 live?
Bullet for My Valentine: Just the once, at Download 2008, and that was enough for me thanks, they were average at best.

    24. What is the worst song by 12?
Decapitated: ÇalDance Macabre. It's a crap instrumental, and ruins an otherwise excellent debut (Winds of Creation)

    25. What was the first song you ever heard by 28?
Cephalic Carnage: Dying Will Be the Death of Me. I saw it on the Relapse Records website and downloaded it as the title intrigued me. I wasn't disappointed.

    26. What is your favorite album by 7?
    Sonata Arctica: Ecliptica

    27. What is your favorite song by 24?
    Kataklysm: ÇalChronicles of the Damned

    28. Is there a song by 9 that makes you happy?
Chimaira: Power Trip. Brings back fond memories of the time I first heard it. =D

    29. What is your favorite album by 4?
Municipal Waste: Hazardous Mutation, because it features my favourite two Waste songs - ÇalTerror Shark and ÇalUnleash the Bastards.

    30. How many albums do you own by 20?
Lamb of God: The latter 3 - As the Palaces Burn, Ashes of the Wake and Sacrament. They're easily the best. I've not heard anything from their Burn The Priest days, but I do feel it's not hard to eclipse New American Gospel.
