The Australian and N.Z. Rock Artists League

We started the first Season but for the next we need six new artists to replace the six wich are relegated!
So, in this thread, please post your favourite six bands that meet the following criteria:

1) Are a rock artist. This is defined as an artist that plays a style of music incorporated into the rock genre.

This can be pop/rock, alternative rock, punk-rock, all forms of metal, acoustic rock (as an addition). This does not include standard pop such as girl bands, this does also not include stuff like electronica, although there may be exceptions, I will judge each case individually. If I am unsure as to whether an artist is a rock artist or not, I will use the Last.fm tags as my guide.

2) Are australian or kiwi. This is defined as originating from Australia or New Zealand.
Originating is defined as:

a) The artist or all or some members of the band of which the artist is comprised was born in Australia or New Zealand…

What is THAT supposed to mean, again?

Hear, hear. Not only did that Khanatist guy not even bother to come up with a proper Top 50 year list, as he traditionally used to all the years before - well, how could you, if all you scrobble in one goddamn year is the latest fail in the wobbling excuse for a genre called dubstep - he also missed the deadline for decade lists by WEEKS and now tries to hand one in later with the obviousness of an obvious troll! Hell, the 10's are almost over, I gotta be kidding, right?

Okay, seriously.

Really seriously.

This wasn't easy for me. I've done this list thing before, more than once, and have my music sorted pretty well (pedantically, actually); no, I had to struggle with something else.
It's just so deeply emotionally affecting.

My active passion for music started in the year 2000, or at least my attempts to look beyond the things which get played on the radio and on TV. (There were milestones before; I could drop names such as Kate Bush…

Firstly, further to last week, can I also suggest that following an advert for this seen at the weekend, that there is a seperate circle of hell reserved for it?

Anyway, on with this week. For only (I think) the second time, you lucky people get a double dose this week. In addition to the planned flipside to last week, you also get my rundown of the ten tracks you should hear this month.

So onto the first bit, covers. Like last week, this is undoubtedly hugely subjective, some of you will disagree with my choices, others will have tracks that I should have included.
