I've been listening to the Dandy Warhols nearly half of my life - I started in my early teens with "Not If You Were The Last Junkie." And to me, there's a huge line in my head between the two albums before Thirteen Tales and everything else after. Before that album, you could characterize their sound as a slightly-experimental psychedelic pop band, but when they released Thirteen Tales, suddenly their sound was not definable by any specific song anymore because you had flukes like "Country Leaver" and then they insisted on incorporating more and more noodly electronics... so. That's my opinion about what could qualify as an essential Dandy Warhols' song - nothing does because they aren't static artists. Which is a little saddening to me because as a fan, I still adore their first album the most.

kiedyś usłyszałem piosenkę bohemian like you na jakimś filmiku i długo szukałem artysty. Znalazłem i pokachałem ten zespoł. Nie podoba mi sie to że najnowszy album Earth of the dandy warhols zmienia klimat starego dandego rockowego

i would say that is correct. Not to put down those songs in any way. Its just a more accessible way of presenting their sound I think. Its great to give people the opportunity to check out their other stuff

I just got used to their latest album when I listened it for the 10th time or so. Before that, I only found a few numbers ok. Now I'm completely brainwashed and I think Earth to the Dandy Warhols is quite solid. They could have left the last track. Perhaps nice/fun to listen to it once, but it's too long and gets annoying very quickly. Besides that.....I love them.
