jak ktoś jest bystry, to mu gratuluję, ja odkryłam prawdziwe znaczenie enigmatycznego komunikatu Rojka z przedmowy offowej książeczki dopiero drugiego dnia; trochę gupio być takim gupim, ale co do tej pory frajdy z tych czterech gwiazdek miałyśmy, to miałyśmy xDD wyjaśniwszy urok tytułu, niniejszym zaczynam riwju:

najlepszy koncert: Mogwai (nie mogło być inaczej :D)
najciekawszy motyw: na koncercie Budynia i Sprawców Rzepaku
najbardziej wzruszający człowiek i/lub najlepsza fucha: Iggi Sniff (Singapore Sling)
najpiękniejszy pan: Brent Knopf (Menomena)

dlaczego tak będzie poniżej obajśnione

DZIEŃ PIERWSZY

pierwsze co usłyszałam, to było z daleka elephant shoe, brzmiało okropnie, więc nie podchodziłam bliżej. Poszłam sobie do namiotu Offensywy na debiutantów, niestety nie wiem, kto to był, ale grali nudno, mieli brzydki wokal i rżnęli z Myslovitza, które to cechy dały się dotkliwie odczuć już po trzech kawałkach (potem wyszłam).

syndrom GDS

zwany również syndromem ZNW, czyli Zupełnie Niepotrzebnego Wokalu. Bardzo bolesne zjawisko, kiedy to muzyka jest piękna, a wokal niszczy ją bezlitośnie. Przypadłość owa dotyka między innymi zespołu Pchełki. Wbrew zupełnie idiotycznej nazwie (mnie od razu przychodzą na myśl Fasolki ;P) grają przepiękny kawałek muzyki, z delikatnością jaką można odnaleźć u Sigur Ros i tajemniczością Mum, co najważniejsze, nie są przy tym wtórni - skojarzenia dotyczą klimatu a nie skopiowanych motywów. Cudo. Byłoby, gdyby nie pani śpiewająca. Generalnie głos ma bardzo nieciekawy, im ciszej śpiewa, tym lepiej brzmi, ja proponowałabym wyciszyć ją zupełnie. Kolejną rzeczą rujnującą doszczętnie ten dobry kawałek muzyki jest to, że wyte przez panią sa góralskie przyśpiewki. Kiedy śpiewa po góralsku brzmi gorzej niż bez zaciągania, to raz, a dwa, to efekt na klimacie jest mniej więcej taki, gdyby do muzyki metalowej babcia z chóru kościelnego śpiewała "Lulajże Jezuniu". Zupełnie nie ta bajka, kombinowanie na siłę. Rozpacz mnie brała, że można coś tak strasznie spaprać. Ale gdyby im kiedyś przyszła do głowy ta genialna myśl, żeby grać instrumentalnie, to ja jak najbardziej polecam, słuchałoby się z wielką przyjemnością.

Raz, dwa, trzy, cztery, pięć, sześć...

Generalnie Budyń robi na mnie takie samo wrażenie jak Pogodno - słuchać bym nie słuchała, ale koncert fajna sprawa :) Najlepszy był pan, który liczył :D po prostu genialne, jak urosnę, to zostanę panem, który liczy :D

Ach, jacy wy jesteście offowi, sama awangarda!
Lutosphere - pierwszy piękny koncert na Offie :) ironia pana Możdżera jest urocza, pan niejaki Bunio się okazuje całkiem zdolny człowiek, kiedy się nie zajmuje chujami, no a wiolonczela (wiolonczela, prawda?...) brzmiąca jak gitara elektryczna to już zupełny kosmos *_* Piękna sprawa i nawet gupi deszcz się wpasował odpowiednio - w melankolijny klimat "Bukoliki". Warto było zmoknąć i latać potem w mokrej bluzie (dziw, że nie mam gruźlicy teraz).

Reuber

koncert zaczął się krótką moralizą na temat "nie pal papierosów, bo będziesz mieć brzydki głos". A potem było już mniej ciekawie. Do mnie taka elektronika nie trafia, bo jest zbyt monotonna, co mi zajeżdża gatunkiem zatytuowanym techno, a którego nie lubię.

Clinic

Na ten koncert jechałam, więc mógłby mi się nie spodobać tylko w przypadku, gdyby coś skopali. Nic nie skopali, bawiłam się świetnie, kręciły mię kamery jak wymachiwałam piórami xDD mam nadzieję, że poza biednymi kamerzystami, którzy nierozważnie zdecydowali się na ten krok, nikt nie będzie tych scen oglądał xD Było za dużo z nowego albumu, ale to zawsze się tak dzieje niestety, brakowało mi i Madżyszana i Harwestu i Come Into Our Room... ale było the second line, walking with thee i Return of the Evil Bill :) jak wiadomo, nie można mieć wszystkiego w końcu. Widziałam ich bez masek, bo trafiłam na próbę, jak śpiewali Witch :D (nie lubię of Montrealu). A wizerunek sceniczny uroczy :D zawsze chciałam zobaczyć dziurę na usta w masce Ade'a :D i nawet mniej przez zęby śpiewał niż na płytach :D bardzo dobry koncert. Za krótki oczywiście (co to za bis - jeden kawałek? -_-) ale to już kwestia organizacji, wiadomo.

przerwa na pozdrowienia

w tym miejscu pozdrawiam serdecznie osobę układającą program, dzięki której wszystkie najciekawsze rzeczy zostały nawalone w pierwszym dniu na siebie. W drugim dniu, żeby było weselej, prawie nic się nie pokrywało. Chciałam zobaczyć wykonawców ze sceny eksperymentalnej, ale niestety dupa :(

w tym roku na żurnalu nie będzie, bo na chujów nie poszłam :>

na Heyu byłam tylko ze względu na Mogwai - co pierwszy rząd to pierwszy rząd, zwłaszcza jak się jest cholernie wysokim :D
Koncert ok, acz setlista z Ostrowca mi się bardziej podobała, no i ta wpada z tekstem :D

bardzo żałuję, że nie byłam na Caribou :( ale to przez tego układacza programu znowu, bo naprawdę wolę się gapić na panów z Mogwai grających na gitarach ;)

wiedziałam, że mnie ten koncert rozwali, bo po prostu kocham Mogwai, ale myślałam, że koncert życia mam już za sobą - Radiohead w Berlinie. Na festiwalu to przecież tylko godzinka, no i są też inne koncerty, co osłabia wrażenie...
Ale matko boska, to był po prostu kosmos *_* ! Co post rock, to post rock. Jednak nic nie robi na mnie takiego wrażenia, jak gitara elektyczna. Cztery gitary, i to TAK grające całkowicie zdewastowały moją psychikę.
Takie tam pitolenie, a że za spokojnie, a że za mało hiciorów - dla mnie było idealnie, w pewnym momencie byłam tam już tylko ja i muzyka, odczuwana w każdej komórce ciała. Ten moment na Mogwai Fear Satan kiedy cisza przechodzi z powrotem w hałas *_*
no i ja akurat lubię na koncertach słyszeć rzeczy, których jeszcze nie znam, jadąc na Offa nie przesłuchuję twórczości wykonawców, których nie znam, lubię nowości i zaskoczenie, dlatego nie przeszkadza mi nieobecność hiciorów. Co do tego, że niby było zbyt spokojnie - ja lubię taki Mogwai jak w Burn Girl Prom Queen czy May Nothing But Happiness Come Through Your Door, wcale mi nie potrzeba cały czas energii na miarę Summer. Tylko mi bisu brakowało, dramatycznie za krótko :(
Teraz już wiem na pewno, że jak zobaczę kiedyś Godspeed na żywo, to umrę.

Waglewskich chciałam zobaczyć, ale pozdrawiam osobę, co układała program. Po koncercie Mogwai to stałam z bananem na pyszczku i nic do mnie nie docierało :D no, może poza tym, że mi cholernie zimno.

DZIEŃ DRUGI

Byłam w Katowicach kupić sobie płaszczyk przeciwdeszczowy, żeby przestało padać (tak, teraz już wiecie, komu zawdzięczacie brak opadów atmosferycznych od połowy soboty). Jak wróciłam to Czesław Śpiewał, więc uciekłam do Muzeum Pożarnictwa w obawie o uszy.

Menomena również nie zawiodła moich oczekiwań, panowie dali świetny koncert, który pewnie podobałby mi się jeszcze bardziej, gdybym go widziała przed Mogwai ;D
Pan Brent jest w ogóle przeuroczy *_* i miłym zbiegiem okoliczności jest również właścicielem najlepszego wg mię wokalu w Menomenie :) Danny na perkusji dawał czadu również świetnie, i nawet sobie cośtam rozwalił, dzięki czemu dowiedzieliśmy się, kto jest gejem a kto nie :D Powinni jeszcze zagrać Air Aid na bis, ale ach, ten czas -_-

jaka to jest niesamowita różnica - przeciętny zespół polski, a taki o, przeciętny zespół islandzki. Wokal nie jest najlepszy, ale nie razi, a nawet pasuje na swój sposób, kawałki są jednostajnie, a jakoś strasznie nie nudzą, słychać My Bloody Valentine i The Jesus and Mary Chain a nie jest to bezczelne rżnięcie. Ja to nie wiem.
Koncert całkiem przyzwoity, porządny gapiowbut* na cztery gitary z ładnie wkomponowanym wokalem.
Wzruszył mnie pan, który cały koncert machał łapką z grzechotami albo tamburynem, których w tym ładnym gitarowym hałasem absolutnie nie było słychać :D Postanawiam również działać w jakimś głośnym zespole jako tamburyniarz, poczucie rytmu odpowiednie to tej skomplikowanej gry posiadam, więc na nagraniach dam radę, a jak się na koncercie pomylę, to i tak nikt nie usłyszy xD

jak już się przyzwyczaisz do wokalu, to zaczyna ci się nudzić muzyka.
Przestałam ich słuchać jakiś rok temu, dlatego na koncercie się po prostu nudziłam. Mojej siostrze się nie znudzili, ale wrażenia ma takie same. Najciekawszy był pan przebrany za dżewo, ale to taka rozrywka na pięć minut. No i te skrzypce, które było raczej widać niż słychać...

Ciekawe. Energiczne, jazzowe granie, ruchliwy pan. Się nim zainteresuję bliżej, ale na koncercie niestety nie wytrzymałam zbyt długo, bo zimno było:(

Piękne! Niesamowite połączenie delikatnej elektroniki z wiolonczelą i skrzypcami. Słuchałam z przyjemnością i nawet mnie nogi mniej bolały :) Raczej cichy, spokojny koncert, ale przesycony emocjami i przykuwający uwagę. Liczyłam na odkrycie na Offie na miarę zeszłorocznego Radiana, to chyba będzie właśnie to i Lutosphere - najlepsze koncerty polskich wykonawców w tym roku.

Chciałam jeszcze zobaczyć Maxa Tundrę, ale był tak cholernie późno i mi siostra nie wytrzymała :(

sprawy organizacyjne i takie tam

Ogółem świetnie :) widać zmiany, w sensie dlaczego bilety były droższe - ładniejsze opaski (przeczytałam na odwrocie, że z Hameryki) telebimy i takie tam różne bajery. Nie do końca jestem przekonana, że potrzeba tyle scen, bo i tak najlepsze rzeczy były nawalone w tym samym czasie -_-

ludzie, których nie rozumiem

Jedna rzecz mnie niepokoi - w stosunku do zeszłego roku (może dlatego, że teraz byłam na polu namiotowym) - odniosłam wrażenie, że było więcej osób, które przyjechały w sumie nie wiadomo dlaczego - bo tak wypada? bo lans? bo im ciasno w domu?
Ja bym jednak wolała widzieć na Offie ludzi, którzy się interesują muzyką, są otwarci na nowe rzeczy, i właśnie przede wszystkim chcą coś zobaczyć, usłyszeć coś ciekawego, są tam dla MUZYKI.
Nie rozumiem na przykład, jak można przyjechać, żeby pić tanie wino na polu namiotowym. Spox, abstynentem nie jestem, ale pić alkohol mogę wszędzie, raczej nie mam problemu, żeby skrzyknąć znajomych na chalńsko. Natomiast nie udało mi się póki co przywołać żadnego artysty, żeby mi zagrał koncert :D
Dla jasności to nie chodzi mi o popijanie piwka między koncertami, tylko o schlanie się regularne i sytuację, w której ktoś jest na festiwalu a nie widział żadnego koncertu.
Jeszcze jedną grupą ludzi, których nigdy nie zrozumiem, są ci, którzy przyjechali tylko na Hey albo tylko na Lao Che. Z całym szacunkiem, bardzo lubię Hey, ale ostatnio grali w moim Ostrowcu Świętokrzyskim za darmo, można ich bez problemu zobaczyć w całej Polsce i na Offie byli bardziej bardzo miłym dodatkiem niż główną gwiazdą.
No, ale w końcu nie wszystkich ludzi muszę rozumieć, też mi się zachciewa...

Best Performance: Mutemath

I liked the wall-of-sound of SSPU and acrobatic performance of Mutemath etc., but what I liked most was Spiritualized. They were really amazing. What a beautiful noise they make! They played not only new songs but old songs, including those of Specemen 3 era. At the end, Jason stabbed his guitar into amp and then threw the guitar into drum kit. It was so special. Glad to see them for the first time for me. JAMC & SFA were awesome too, of course.

25. The Birthday Party

I really don't like Nick Cave's later work and his voice verges on annoying a lot for me.

24. Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I despise "Fever to Tell", I only like one or two songs off of it. Plus I don't understand why so many people love "Maps" so much.

23. Spank Rock

There's nothing bad that can be said about Spank Rock... except if I wanted to be really critical I could that some of their lyrics make them out to be misogynist pigs.

22. The Faint

All of their songs are about sex but they don't seem like the kind of guys that get laid very often.

21. Xiu Xiu

I don't really listen to ol' Xiu Xiu that much anymore but I still love them. If only Jamie Stewart wasn't so whiny and clingy sounding.

20. Dalek I Love You

Again, don't listen to these guys as much as I used too but it really sucks that they never became big, since they're really good at what they do.

19. Bishi

Her voice can be very shrill and grating at times.

18. Straight Reads the Line

They are way better live then on recording.

17. Placebo

I find that I really miss old Placebo these days, they are no where as good as they were before "Meds".

16. The Jesus and Mary Chain

"Darklands" was sort of a disappointment for me, they just aren't as good without all the walls of sound. Hell, its sort of sad to say that an artist is better when you can't hear them properly.

15. Visage

I can only listen to them sometimes + "Fade to Grey" is garbage.

14. Ladytron

I love almost everything by this band minus a couple of songs, mainly "Paco".

13. The Organ

Well I would say that I was pissed when they broke up but I heard they're back together and making a new album which makes me REALLY happy. What I don't like about them is how short their album was! Just a bit over a half hour. Thats crazy!

12. Joy Division

I know I might get some flack for this but I find them at times to be really boring. Sure JD is a great band and has some truly great songs but songs like "Passover" tarnish an almost perfect discography. Plus I find it sort of tacky that they named themselves after a groups of women in concentration camps that were pimped out to Nazis. Just saying...

11. Daisy Chainsaw

My only criticism of Daisy Chainsaw is how they broke up and became Queen Adreena. I like Queen Adreena but to me they are no where as good as Daisy Chainsaw.

10. Chromatics

I'm not big on this new disco sound they have now but they still are a really great band.

9. Between the Buried and Me

I love BTBAM but only in small amounts. I'm not used to 14 minute songs like the majority of songs on "Colors" but I'm trying to deal.

8. The Holly Springs Disaster

This band is pretty much perfection, I don't know what to say about them.

7. Patrick Wolf

I have to take points off for dying your hair orange, making proclamations about being bisexual, being eccentric and campy and being very skinny and pale. Sound familiar? It would be really easy to write him off as a Bowie copy cat.

6. Final Fantasy (Owen Pallet)

I can't really think of anything negative to say about him. He's too awesome.

5. Bauhaus

I tend to like their straightforward songs a lot more then their weird, arty songs. As for their new album I'm not really sure if I like it that much yet, I haven't really given it a chance but so far so good I guess.

4. Crystal Castles

No matter what anyone says about their recent controversies, people seem to forget that there has been far more artists then them that have illegally sampled other people's music not to mention artists who have stolen other people's art for promotion. That being said, I will admit that they do come off as really pretentious in interviews which might bite them in the ass if they don't cut the shit but they defiantly have a lot of potential.

3. David Bowie

Why did you contribute vocals to that horrible Scarlett Johansson album? I miss YOUR work, you haven't released an album in five years.

2. The Blood Brothers

I hate to say this but I don't really like Cody's and Johnny's new band Jaguar Love... even though I'm hopefully seeing them in a couple of weeks with The Faint and Genghis Tron. Other then that I really wish you didn't break up...

1. Siouxsie & The Banshees

I have to say, before I really wasn't digging Siouxsie's solo album but its grown on me a lot. With that said, I don't understand why a lot of SATB fans love Kiss in the Dreamhouse so much. Its one of my least favorite albums by them.

Well, It's been almost a year since I made my last Twilight Music compilation. I don't know why, but a few days ago I felt like doing a new one. I guess it's because I'm in the same situation of last summer - I'm home alone in Madrid, but with the difference that I don't have a job this time, so that means that I'm even more bored than last sumer LOL

Anyway, hope you like it.

1. The Jesus and Mary Chain - Darklands

I'm going mad about them these last weeks, and I just love this song. It's dark but it gets brighter at the end.

2. Belle and Sebastian - Mornington Crescent

Precious B&S ballad. I've always loved that 60's feeling they always have :)

3.Delays - Silence

One of the most beautiful songs of the new album, and I'd say, one of the most beautiful songs they've ever made.

4.Dennis Wilson - Thoughts of You

Well, I wanted to put a Dennis Wilson track in this compilation, since, at last, we have the cd re-issue that Pacific Ocean Blue deserved so much. Thanks to this, a lot of people is getting to hear it, and that's great. About this song, I'd just say that it's gorgeus pop music.

5. Duffy - Rockferry

I really like Duffy's album. I think it's refreshing to hear mainstream music so well made. I like this song specially. I like the Motown feeling it has, the soft crescendo, and her voice is just great.

6. dEUS - Include Me Out

This song is from their previous album, Pocket Revolution.It's a very soft song. I love the way they create atmospheres in their songs, even when they're very noisy, although this is not the case.

7. Goldfrapp - A&E

I know I could have included any song from their last album, but I love this one. I love the looseness it has, and the uplifting feeling that leaves you, even when it's somehow a sad song.

8. Mazzy Star - Five String Serenade

This cover is just amazing. Minimalistic accoustic guitar and string arrangement, and the soft and captivating voice of Hope Sandoval. It's just charming.

9. The Style Council - You're the Best Thing

I've been listening a lot to Style Council, and, for me, this is just the perfect ballad.
Paul Weller + Northern Soul. You can't go wrong with that combination.

10. Roisin Murphy/Róisín Murphy - Primitive

I LOVE this song. The darkness - provided by the electronics - and the sensuality - provided by the gorgeus voice of Mrs Murphy. Probably the sexiest song in the compilation.

11. Dionne Farris - Blackbird

Great cover of the Beatles' classic. Accoustic and bluessy.

12. Howie Day - Collide

I don't usually listen to this artist, but I love this song. Typical american accoustic rock ballad.

13. Imogen Heap - The Moment I Said It

Imogen is great LOL Dark and atmospheric. Just how I like it.

14. Jeff Buckley - Dream Brother

Best closing track ever. Involving, captivating and almost mystic.
