i think christian rock is in how one presives the music, cause i've heard songs from people/band that openly denounce god, but their own words can be twisted into new meaning. and sometimes there is more subltty in music than some people would beleave. P.S. i aint a good christian, but what i know, i know well...

@ singrundance: "God created love not hate" If god created everything, as it generally suggested, wouldn't he have created both? "Those who love God will always be persecuted" You realise that atheists are the most hated demographic in America, right? (That included Muslims btw.)

God created love not hate... If people want to hate they can but what are you achieving by asking them to leave the page. Christian music is demonstrating God's love to those who believe and those who don't. You can't stop persecution by pushing back... Those who love God will always be persecuted because there's something we have that others don't and they don't understand the infinite love that comes from God. God is love. :)

There is a distinction between bands who's members are Christian but don't make Christian music, and bands that make music to glorify the Lord because there is both. Here's some things to think about for the people that have been posting shouts here. Jesse you say "that makes those bands for christians only which is majorly wrong ." Sorry, but you don't need to be a Christian to enjoy this music. Do you need to be a Christian to enjoy looking at the Sistine Chapel? Also, I think Gay rock could be a genre if the band used rock styles to make music with homosexual themes in it. I'd call that gay rock. Anyways, if everyone is complaining that bands like Anberlin and Reliant K are being tagged as Christian Rock, I do agree that these aren't Christian Rock bands. I'm a Christian and a photographer/digital artist but I wouldn't say my work is always Christian art. It has that potential but I want to spread out more ya know?

Maybe just a "christian" tag would be better than "christian rock" since Christian lyrics do not influence the music part... ;-)
