'classic rock' is a widely misused tag. it's a radio format. i never use it. i remember listening to the beatles during the sixties, and it just was 'beat music'. 'bebop' in jazz music is very specified, you know what kind of sound to expect, but beatles, queen, pink floyd, rolling stones, black sabbath, jimi hendrix - all under the 'classic rock' umbrella ? what's the use of that ?
