@Oddlyoko2K @kamixo Rave The Reqviem is metal band that use a lot of electronic music influences including drum and bass. And the songs "From Malkuth To Kether", "Ailleurs", and "I" of Samael definitely have drum and bass influences. Also I recomand this song of Zardonic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSjaEHoi1_c , being a remix of Semargl (metal band)

Mu-Ziq is my favorite drun n bass .... steeped in light industrial .... flavored with London ambience .... Mu-Ziq is not about the club .... it's what you do on Sunday afternoons

Drum & bass only sounds right pronounced by a woman with a thick Jamaican accent.

Hai guize! I'm relatively new to this genre and because I like to understand the music, where it does come from before digging deeper, I'd appreciate if you could tell me about the pioneers and innovators in this music style and at least recommend me 2-3 "new" established artists in the scene. Oh, and noob question: What`s the difference between dubstep and DnB ? Was the timeline something like this: jungle --> DnB --> Dubstep ? Forgive me my inexperience and thanks in advance!

I can vouch for Receptor being some fucking awesome dnb and I don't even fancy neurofunk that much.

My crazy 60 year old father plays guitar(badly), and for a couple months I noticed him listening to a drum & bass streaming radio station online and playing guitar over it. I finally asked him about it, and he acted all enthusiastic about his discovery- "It's great! They have a whole station that just has drums and bass, so people can add their own guitar!!". Whaaa?

yeah, come on, if you HAVE to categorize pendulum into only one genre, it would be dnb. so what if they take influence from other genres? lot of other artists do the same. and especially when listening their first album, you don't even have to think what genre they're in, so just give it a rest.
