Apologies for the wall intrusion. I'm in a band that's made our first (and free) ep this year (already written another, not yet recorded) and thought based on your taste you miiiight enjoy it. https://pethates.bandcamp.com Cheers, and have a good day.

Think that list is spot on, though I'd add There Are Too Many Of Us as well. Me love me some 'Sad Damon' vocals

Their glasto set was basically just TOTBL and Antics, which is pretty much the way it should be sadly. New album has leaked though, maybe it will be a return to form of sorts.

Alvvays record is one of my favs of the year. Might catch them live with Real Estate in a couple of months. Seen Interpol twice this year. Banks still kills it.

Pygmalion isn't much like the "electro" bonus tracks at the end of Souvlaki - they don't have the drum machine beat, and they're much more varied. You could say, in a very broad sense, that it's more "electronic" and "ambient" than Souvlaki - but there really isn't any genre label that fits perfectly, or anything else I can compare it to. Pygmalion stands unique in the Slowdive catalog, The Blue Day compilation (which includes the Morningrise EP) is the most similar to Souvlaki. They also have several albums worth of demos floating around, which are just as good as the official releases IMO. I definitely recommend giving at least Pygmalion and Blue Day listens, if you liked Souvlaki.

When I look at you Oh, I don't know what's real Once in a while And you make me laugh And I'll see you tomorrow And it won't be long Once in a while Then you take me down Then you walk away

Well Marry Me has nothing on the other two in my opinion... You might like it, but I doubt I'll listen to it again anytime soon (although maybe I'll like it next time I do bother listening to it)... I guess maybe I should just get her new one then. She was on a Nick Cave dvd I had and she was being severely irritating in it and as a result I haven't listened to her in ages.... Also that Niknak guy's love for her was sort of nauseating me too. I'm sure it's not his fault, I think I just have a weak stomach.

Yeah, busy here - my work/life balance has been ridiculous for the last few months, hence why I haven't listened to as much new stuff as I would have liked. Yeah, Nottingham's still tight dude, winter has finally fucked the fuck off.

Someone or other told me Sheena is too busy at university for her old neckbeard-internet-pals which is fair enough really. Pedro got banned, came back with a username that appeared to be some sort of tribute to me then promptly disappeared... I think everyone else is still around somewhere or other... Niknak is still everywhere. I'm gonna Private Message you shortly regarding 1969

I saw him at a venue in copenhagen that didn't contain chairs. the bants were just as lolsy as his lyrics. he yelled at me for standing there with my macbook writing school shit during his performance and some guy who he apparently pegged for a virgin. the end.
