The greatest adventure is what lies ahead!http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/ad271/tanteigakuenq/lastfm/lfm_hobbit_p_02.pngDidn't plan to write this enty, but I've just found the LP with the Original Soundtrack to The Hobbit cartoon (1977) directed by Jules Bass and Arthur Rankin Jr. and now I just can't stop thinking about it. Why? Well, if you've read The Hobbit by John Ronald Reuel Tolkien as a kid and watched the cartoon, there's no «why?» for you. Just because soundtrack have a heart and soul of the original novel. I mean it. The first time I heard Misty Mountain Cold I was like WHOA-A-A! And even today it feels the same. Maury Laws and of course Glenn Yarbrough made an unbelievable OST. My favorite songs is The Greatest Adventure, In the Valley, Ha! Ha!, Old Fat Spider, Gollum's Riddle, That's What Bilbo Baggins Hates / Misty Mountains Cold / Gandalf's Reflection, In the Valley, Ha! Ha! (Reprise) and Misty Mountain Cold, but actually I like the whole LP since each and every track is awesome. In my opinion it's the most beautiful thing that was created based on the original novel. I need to find some time and re-read The Hobbit. Especially since I've bought the another edition of the book recently, nearly the same with the edition I've read at my first time (it was a book from the school library, so, I don't have it anymore).
Today and tomorrow are yet to be said.
