Eisley, Christie DuPree at Hi-Tone Café!

Mon 28 Jun – Eisley, Christie Dupree, The Lion & The Sail

Showed up about an hour before the doors were supposed to open but they went ahead and started letting people come in a little early. I quickly bought one of Eisley's Fire Kite EPs. Their father Boyd recognized me from Twitter and we talked until the show started. He was awesome and wanted to know how the music scene was in Memphis. I felt a little pressured to try to make Memphis seem like a great place for them to play again, but obviously it was hard to do! fail…lol.

Christie DuPree opened the show with a beautiful set of acoustic tracks and vocals similar to her sisters. After her set, I bought her EP. After the show, I got a photo with her. She was very nice!

The Lion & The Sail was next. They were really good and I might have even considered buying their EP but I was running out of money!

Eisley finally took the stage and put on an awesome show performing some of their oldest songs such as "Mr. Pine" and newest songs such as "The Valley," "Ambulance," and "Sad." They didn't do an actual encore which is fine with me. Probably because the venue is small and the only way off the stage is through the crowd. lol.

Here is the full setlist, in order:

- Golly Sandra
- The Valley
- Many Funerals
- Mr. Pine
- Come Clean
- Memories
- I Could Be There For You
- Tree Tops
- Telescope Eyes
- Marvelous Things
- Ten Cent Blues
- I Wasn't Prepared
- Sad
- One Day I Slowly Floated Away
- Combinations
- Go Away
- Brightly Wound
"Encore"
- Invasion
- Lost At Sea
- Ambulance
