I really liked their new song, Fortified .. check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfJwXiElJKw Ahh I see .. the album was far too poppy and I got really pumped up for hearing their new material after those gianormous riffs in DPP. I wouldnt mind it if this material was released by some other band .. might even be glad to have made such a discovery. But I wish Nightwish didnt have to dip down to match themselves to Annette. I dont know, but I found Annette still squeaky in Storytime and couple other songs. Yeah, I wouldnt really push LC onto anyone .. but I find that people tend to enjoy their material when they approach it with little expectations. Try Deals Death for now and let me know what you think of them .. they already released an album, Internal Demons .. go ahead with it if you like what you hear in Fortified. Cheers,

Agreed! Had a really great time overall. I'm more of a fan of colder climates and vegetated areas than heat and desert, so Seattle only seemed most appropriate. It will be convenient finally being able to see the bands I like in the same city as I am instead of traveling to another state almost consistently. Looking forward to the whole experience :)

Cheers :) I was satisfied with how those turned out, considering how chaotic and tight the conditions were indoors. Vegas is a good city to visit since the whole place is literally ran by tourism, but living gets old and monotonous quickly. Last time I was up north was 2 years ago and I've been wanting to go back ever since, luckily this time it's permanent.

ahaha .. you liked their stuff? I didnt quite catch on their new material. None of the new material could pull off DPP's riffs (especially The Poet and the Pendulum set themselves on a whole new level in the past) .. I guess I changed my mind about Imaginaerum midway. My latest thing involves Lacuna Coil .. I would probably not recommend it to you .. but I grew to like it .. so never know ^^

I was also at Rites! Uploaded a bunch of photos from that weekend which are on my website/Facebook. That was my 4th Inquisition ritual, every time I've seen them it's been out of state, haha. I live in Las Vegas by the way, can't wait to be out of here. Cheers for the welcome!

Well, the event page on Facebook is also gone so I believe that it actually is off which is of course a major bummer, but hopefully it does get bumped to a later date than none at all. I'm actually moving up to Seattle this weekend, so I'm not familiar with the venues up there (yet). Would be cool to still check out that other gig though.

I didnt mind Kamelot's dip into gothic culture during PftP. I mean Shagrath did a good job .. so did Bjorn for The Great Pandemonium. But come on, watch Storytime's music video .. you will judge Nightwish appropriately then ^^ Oh, what are you churning on your tracklist now? Ahh .. I hate to step out of my house .. some occasional flurries have been scaring us for a while .. but the mean old witch is still holding back .. sigh.
