"Nice Taste"... ^^ but really, you got a decent taste in music AND a very impressive profile text on here. Plus your collections of quotes from other users... made me laugh my arse off :D Enjoy your day! (found my way to your profile through one of the groups you founded)

Hello I've arrived here by a circulus route and after reading your 'About Me' I've got to say It's pretty interesting compared to most others. You seem to take what get's posted here in your shout boxes personally, which is cool. Bye.

Oh that's fine! I just wanted to know if you liked it or not, so definitely let me know after you've listened to a few songs! I was considering suggesting a few bands now but I have no idea which ones.. Maybe you'd like Andrew Bird, Damien Jurado, or The National? Those bands are all really good and I know people who like many different genres who listen to those three (especially The National, but you might know them already, I just don't feel like checking in your library).

I'm totally understand you about the "not too vocal" thing, usually i'll never debate publicly about some subjects such as Religions,Sex & Politics because either you risk to offend people's convictions (it can be a relationship killer) or you can argue until you are blue in the face and it will never get anywhere. That said,i took the liberty of speaking about it with you,as you seem open-minded enough for this.ʘ‿ʘ "Pokémon",yes, indeed. ┌( ಠ_ಠ)┘ Said that way,it sounds quite misanthropic and unfriendly but this is not at all the point of the message. If it can make people aware of the insidious effects of their behaviours on others, even if it means to be considered as a budding sociopath, then i'm ready to take the risk: sometimes we have to "shock" people to get their attention and get them to wake up and hear the truth.٩◔̯◔۶

Hi. ~ヾ(^∇^) That's an interesting "About me" you have there,it's as if you read my mind.◔̯◔ I meet more and more people (on who put some warnings about their policies of "friend requests".☉_☉ I have to admit,it's become a pain to handle those requests.ಠ_ಠ Whatever,i can see some passionating journals over here, your arguments about agnosticism stand up even if i have to acknowledge that the subject is more complex than it first appears.(▰˘◡˘▰) I don't judge you, there's no irony intended,i just say that I'm partly of the same opinion. Don't ask me how i've got here to your page cause i have no idea. ๏̯͡๏﴿ Greetings. :):)

Casey... you disappoint me! Diablo is one of best game series EVAR. And yeah, Diablo 2 was released in 2000. So a 12 year gap. But whatever, I think it was worth the wait.

Well I guess I can say I have a bit of an obsession with indie. I'm sure my taste will change over time but for now it's indie. When I was in high school (I like being able to say that but it was only last year) I liked some indie stuff but unfortunately due to the people I hung out with I also listened to some of the shitty mainstream stuff. That changed by junior year though. All of those bands are amazing! And I know what your mean about the compatibility, sometimes I have a low compatibility with someone but then when I talk to them about what I like it's basically the same as what they like. Ah, suggestions.. I am pretty bad at suggestions because I can never pick just a few bands. I'll probably have to think about this a bit, but for now you could maybe listen to some of the songs in the playlist I made? It might be a little too indie for you but I have to get off, so maybe when I get on tomorrow I'll have some suggestions for you! (hopefully)

I agree! If you don't have a lot to say, leave it short. If you have a lot to say and you are able to get your point across in an interesting way, make it long. If you don't have a lot to say and want a long about me so you ramble on and on (kind of like I'm doing now) to fill the space then shame on you. I did listen, and I liked it a lot! I only listened to one of their albums (the Ghost/Tornadoes one) and I actually really enjoyed it. It was right up my alley. I was going to check it out no matter what, but when you told me I should definitely look it up, I decided that if two people recommend it then it is probably really good, and I was right! I'll be adventuring into their other music soon.

Well I'm sure as I'm on here more I'll go to more people's profiles and eventually I'll probably see a longer about me, but since I've only been on here for two months or so I haven't seen a ton of profiles. Well I always like to read them so I can see what kind of person I'm dealing with haha. Sometimes about me sections can teach you a lot about a person! I guess we're opposites, since as you can see my about me is pretty short compared to yours (I don't think the band list counts, since that's really just copy and paste).

Haha well I certainly will! For someone who apparently detests music, Crestrai seems to be pretty good at making suggestions. I'm also proud to say that I read your entire about me section, though it did take me a decent amount of time.

"Do not send me friend requests if you have never even spoken to me!

How would you react if in real life, random people with sock masks over their heads kept approaching you, silently handing you a slip of paper with a link to a profile and the line "WANNA BE MY FRIEND??" just because they saw you wearing a band shirt?" - florianblaschke

Sorry, I don't accept random friend requests.
(And I'm not the person in my avatar).
(And the "Vermillion" in my name doesn't come from Slipknot. I never listened to Slipknot.)

I only accept requests of people that can be considered 'friends'. I am open to talking, but, a simple "Hello from X place" or "Nice Taste[...]" message/shout won't do the trick. Although I appreciate that kind of comments, for me it is hard to follow conversations that start with that kind of messages/shouts. In fact, I will never reply to messages that are simply a "Hello from X place!".
Also, if you start a conversation with me via my shoutbox, make sure yours is open to the public so I can reply, because I won't accept a friend request just to be able to reply to a shout, and I won't reply to shout messages via private messages.

I barely send friend requests to people, so after talking to me for a while, feel free to send me the friend request. It is very likely I will accept it.

Finally, music taste has no influence whatsoever when it comes to choosing who is a 'friend' and who is not. So if our compatibility sucks there's no problem, it's still possible we can become 'friends'. On the other hand, if our compatibility is "SUPER", that doesn't mean you will be added to my list automatically. A lot of people accept friend requests based on the compatibility, but I'm not one of them. If you have a 'great' compatibility with me, please AVOID recommending me new bands, and don't link me to YouTube videos (or to any other videos, really); You have no idea how much I will appreciate that.

I consider myself to be a very happy person, but I don't demonstrate that with text over the internet, so you gotta know me in real life for that.
I have a very wide taste of music. I don't like what is vulgar though, like songs that treat women like sexual objects, or songs that treat children like shitbags, or songs that talk about obsessive hate against the human race. But with that, I don't limit my thoughts to certain genres. Rap for example, most of it has vulgar lyrics, but there are some like Eminem that actually have songs with beautiful meaning.
I am not a fan of the word "friendship", so please don't add me unless we talk for a while and we can consider each other "friends".

IMPORTANT: Regarding "Flags":

Ever since I joined the Flags group, countless of people have been visiting my profile just to put things like "+ 1 X flag" in my shoutbox, which is the reason I left that 'flags' group. Obviously, there is no problem when one or two shouts are like that. The problem is when the dominant number of shouts are like that. Also there is no problem when you shout something else and later you add your "+1 X flag" thing. So I will appreciate if you guy/girls don't leave shouts like that in profile. Also, PLEASE don't ask me to visit your profile just so you can get my flag, it's not a matter of life or death anyways, and I really prefer "more memorable" shouts, so to speak. Thanks for understanding!

About My Music:
I pretty much like to listen to everything, except shitty latin Reggeaton and Cumbias. Reggeaton because I have yet to find one that has meaningful lyrics, that doesn't treat women like sexual objects, and that are no vulgar in any other way. Cumbias, because it's not music. All of them have the same tune over and over again with different (vulgar dehumanizing) lyrics.
My favorite genre is Symphonic Metal. That's because I like my music to be overloaded with different instruments and voices (which is why I have problems appreciating garage music, although I don't dislike it). Also, while I pretty much enjoy everything from the Metal Genre (white metal to black metal, huh!), I am not a big fan of Power and Speed metal. I do enjoy it, but not as much as I enjoy other genres such as Symphonic Metal.
I completely hate the topic of "love" in music even though many of my favorite songs have it. The big problem with "love" is that, while it is something important for everybody, the topic is horribly overused in what music is, at least the conventional kind of love ("I love her/him", "can't live without her/him", and other similar 'stuff'). We need more music that talks about the beauty of the world, other kind of love, and other things. It is also the reason I don't like Pop too much.
Oh, and I hate Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, and the Naked Brothers Band. But unlike other people, I actually listened to them before blacklisting them.

Artists, Bands, Music Makers In General:

I don't care about your project if you advertise it in shoutbox, not even if we have great compatibility or if you think "I may like it". If you really, really want to tell me about how great your music is, then send me a private message. Or if you have the evil need of advertising it in my shoutbox, then be discreet. Chat a little, get to know me, but not right-off-the-bat advertising, it doesn't show any kind of connection whatsoever if the first thing you do when you see my profile is to tell me about your music, and as music makers you want to have a good relationship with people who listen to your music instead of just making them admire your music or give you money for it. Take that word of advice whenever you try to advertise your project.

"Interesting "About Me" section you have there. The personality contained within it is like a mixture of your usual art-school "ambiguously gay" guy and that kind of "I'm the only girl the guys I hang out with have ever even stood next to so I have become their queen" type of bipolar girl. Quite the combination, congratulations on that feat." - MrMagician. Best thing someone has said to me on this site.

I have what psychologists would call a healthy ego.
I have high self esteem, but I don't think too highly of myself.

I believe in myself, but I'm also able to believe in others.
I know how to put my ego in check and let someone else take the reins.

I'm the artist. I am unique and inspired. I am not happy unless I'm making art of some sort.
Almost anything can be a catalyst for my creativity. I find the whole world stimulating.

I have beautiful visions, and I am good at expressing them. I like people to see what I see.
I also have an inventor's spirit. I'm always thinking up new ideas and concepts.

My sensitivity score: 30%

In general, I don't let my senses overwhelm me.
I'm pretty stoic, and I'm good at blocking out what's going on around me.
However, I am still sensitive enough to enjoy all the beautiful things in the world!

My personality in three questions.

You are both logical and creative. You are full of ideas.
You are so rational that you analyze everything. This drives people a little crazy!
