    Well... yeah lol. As much as Edguy rock they aren't at the top of my "bands I'm willing to dish out $30+ to support" list. But I'm looking forward to this album more than any other atm

    I know what you mean, I've been thinking of compiling their christmas albums together and having them ready for when xmas rolls around. Frankly I'm getting sick of hearing the same Mariah Carrey Xmas album every friggen year. I'll definitely check out the John Olivia's Pain myspace

    Have you ever listened to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra? I think one or two of the guys are from Savatage. The Beethoven album is actually really really good

    Yeah I really need to get around to buying DSO's album some time but I haven't seen it anywhere as of yet. Dark Tranquillity are a band that I would recommend if you can cope with harsh vocals, although I wouldn't know which album to suggest as I have only just started listening to them in the last month or so.

    Hey there thanks for the shout! You have awesome music here also. I was going to make some recommendations but I saw them all on your charts further down lol! That being said looking at your charts reminded me that I really need to listen to some more Ayreon, Edguy and Blind Guardian. Also yes I agree Morrowind ftw! (Oblivion never did quite reach the same level to me for some reason)

Within the confused depths of my mind live a reluctant metal-head, an introverted indie fan and a repressed all-round rocker (plus several other personalities i'm yet to identify), under which lies an inherent love of classical music.
Most of all though, I have a soft spot for rock/metal operas and happy/symphonic metal. Just don't be put off by the resulting eclecticism of my musical tastes

- Am a total Fintard, loving just about anything Finnish
- Revel in all things geeky, fantasy and sci-fi, particularly Tad Williams and Terry Pratchett novels
- Recognise the Awesome of the accordian (Yes, Awesome is now a noun)
- Am currently studying the wonders of Archaeology at Sydney University.
- Am a Paranoid (read: OCD) Scrobbler
- Easily get carried away with pretentious rambling about Ayreon and my other musical loves.
- Love video games, particularly the elder scrolls, halo, zelda, warcraft and diablo franchises.
- Am an all-round and eclectic music fan!
