That's so good to hear Marcus <3 I still listen to our IANOIC songs from time to time, when I'm feeling nostalgic. Feels like a completely different era, back when the internet was fun and good. Really hope we get a chance to meet up again soon - I miss you and Silje and Sweden!

Hey Simon, hope life finds you well. I have a bunch of amazing memories of my all too brief visit to the modest mouse community on this site. Hope everything is going well in life for all of us and continues to.

I've been patiently waiting for it re-appear but, like you, I fear it has been dissolved. It's Beth and I with Mac DeMarco.

Hey simon! I'm not gonna be using last.fm anymore for the time being, this site layout is just garbage. May or may not log in if I get a shout and/or the site improves A LOT. Anyway, you know my steam account, happy to chat there! Much love <3

Count me in!! Let's plan ahead for next year, would be lovely! Just keep in mind I have no drivers lisence.. and I bet driving through the mountains would be awesome. However, a tandem bike might be just as awesome, or even better. <3

I've been so well! Decided to road trip the crap out of California, Arizona and about to do Oregon, Washington and Canada... so no Europe. Next summer though, my papa is letting me go to Sweden/Norway as my graduation gift! I have to see you though!! How have you been, love?!

We seem to have changed our plans, Silje don't really wanna be in London due to the Terror warnings.. so we're going straight to Birmingham instead! We haven't booked a hotel in either London or Birmingham yet so that's why we can change around, which is pretty sweet. We'll be looking for something tomorrow, do you know any good places? Preferably with some veg-friendly breakfast options. And yes! Sophie is more than welcome. It'd be very fun to meet her as well. And with that said, we can hang out on friday already if you want! We don't arrive very early on thursday and it's gonna take some time getting from Gatwick I believe. Glad you like the music! It really sounded like something you would like. I'm defenitley grabbing her other two.

real sorry here simon, i don't want to spam your shoutbox, but that emmalee crane link i gave you.. her most recent album whatever it's called is some of the most beautiful work i've heard in ages. sounds a bit like Elivium, but with "proper" instruments. I may or may not have shed a tear.

I browsed around bandcamp for a bit today, and found this http://music.emmaleecrane.com/ - I haven't heard all too much, but I liked it. ButI think it's just what you like. Might worth a check !

We haven't booked a train or anything, but I'd guess we're leaving around 12/lunchtime. As I understand it they don't take long, go often and you can buy a ticket on the spot. So it sounds convenient for us. I've lost your number sadly.. so if you'd be like to send it to me, I could text you when we're leaving London. How's that?

Eluvium is really great. I love the fuzz and buzz in his songs. He create such a lovely atmosphere.

I remember you saying in the group at one point that you don't like GBV. For why is this?

Facing Benteke is a frightening prospect at the moment. I really hope Arsenal don't choke, but it's happened before. Hopefully last year's final has cleared a lot of our nerves. Strangely enough there's no other team I'd rather lose it to at the moment , if you know what I mean. I like Sherwood's self belief and even when he was at Spurs I liked him. But I REALLY want to win.

This FA cup final is going to be exciting! Good luck to your boys, they're a great team to watch under Sherwood.

Did you know about that? You might want to pick up a WHITE vinyl Vespertine while you have the chance. ;) (They are a bit slippery to get a hold of, my record store just randomly got a Homogenic and nothing else.)

I still don't have Vulnicura on vinyl... :( The release keeps getting pushed back. But I found and bought a Homogenic on green vinyl. Apparently Bjork reissuing her catalogue with colored vinyl for the first 5000 copies of each album. It's driving me nuts, haha. Because I have no money, but really want them.

alright, thanks for the info! I'll look into it. There doesn't seem to be any flights availible straight to Birmingham so I guess i'tll be train. I'm free thu&fri / mon&tue so I got some spare days just in case. Wouldn't hurt to stay in london a day or two. But of course I want to meet you! I'll have to talk to Silje, and i''m not sure how we'll do about the kiddo. she can't really come to the concert and I doubt she'd enjoy walking in cities. Much love from us and hope we'll get to meet this summer!

Simon!! Is the MM show sold out!? and how do I get to Birmingham? There doesn't seem to be any flight straight from here, just a 10 hour wait in like Amsterdam to change flight. I guess train from London is ok. How did you get here when you visited?

It's crazy, this album came out of nowhere, (I wouldn't have even known about it if I hadn't checked your shoutbox.) and it looks like it could even be her magnum opus, given time. Still way to early to call that judgement, but still. It's literally everything I could have wanted in a new Bjork album... weird. I'm seriously tempted to go buy it on vinyl RIGHT NOW (with the money I was reserving for either Sauna or Strangers to Ourselves, but I have tons of Phil and MM records.) I little rule of mine is that I like to have at LEAST one vinyl record from every artist I listen to regularly. Bjork has always eluded me though...

I agree, I listened to it only once, but it seemed like the dark side of the coin to Vespertine. Whereas Vespertine is generally optimistic, bright, and theatrical and sentimental (in a good way), Vulnicura is sad, painful, dark, and possibly... post-modern? (Not the right word, the opposite of theatrical and sentimental). Bjork has touched on the "dark" sound before, on parts of Biophilia and Medulla, but both those albums are intentionally minimalistic, restrained, and disjointed because they feel like experiments and sketches. On Vulnicura, she takes the dark bits of Biophilia and Medulla and goes all-out once again with the full, rich she instrumentation she perfected on Vespertine and Homogenic.

"Is Bjork's new album cool, Simon? I've read some good things about it." ...Bjork has a new album!? What!? *downloads immediately* Holy crap, it's sounds like super dark Vespertine or something...! Amazing...!! Why did no one tell me...? ... ... ...[ellipses]... ... ... .... ........
